Gohan and Conner have been helping move all their stuff into their new house, so they missed a mission with the team but they were okay with that, they got to train and relax. But they were itching for some action so they go to the cave today because apparently Batman has a mission for the team. "Dragon breath b-09 and Superboy b-07," the computer announces. Robin smirks and walks up to the two. "Hey SB, DB, you guys missed, we got a new member," Robin says as the rest of the team including the new member walks up to them. "Hey guys," Gohan says. the new girl has on a green suit with a long blonde hair. She glares at Gohan and Conner, which Conner gratefully returns. Gohan just smiles and puts his hand out to shake, "Nice to meet I'm Dragon Breath but you can call me Gohan off duty," she just looks at the hand then skeptically shakes it. "Kidflash b-03," the computer announces. "The wall man is here," wally comes in with full beach gear but slips and lands on his stomach. the new member laughs, "Wall man huh," she smirks. Wally gets up and glares at her, "Who is she," she asked. "I'm Artemis, your new teammate and his new sidekick," she says. "what happened to your old one," Wally asked. 

The computer then announces, "Speedy b-10," Speedy or Roy comes in with an annoyed expression, "It's red arrow now," Green arrow smiles, "Roy you look..." "Replaceable," Red Arrow Glares at Artemis. Green arrow immediately comes to Artemis defense, "It's not like that," he says.  Speedy just glares, "whatever," he says, he then walks over to the computer, "this Dr. Roquette, she is a scientist that was kidnapped by the shadows," he says. "Whoa we get to rescue her form the shadows, score," KF yells out. Re Arrow rolls his eyes, "I already rescued her form the shadows," he says, with wally giving out a noticeable awe. "She built a device called the fog, comprised of mill nano mites that can destroy anything in its way it can also store data giving the shadows access to anything computer it comes in contact with," he finished "Perfect for extortion, manipulation, power brooking, yea sounds likes the shadows," Artemis says. "Like you know anything about the shadows," wally says. Artemis smirks, "Who are you," he yells. "Roquette is working on a virus for the fog, I stored her at a local high school," Red Arrow says. "You left her alone," Green arrow says. "She's safe enough for now," he responds. Arrow tries to protest but batman stops him. "You brought this to the team so it's Artemis mission too," he says. He scoff, "Well then my jobs done then," he says. He leaves the cave. "You have your mission," Batman says. The whole team the pile onto the Bio-ship and depart. 

When they got their the mission seemed easy until the fog attacked another laboratory, Aqualad sends Superboy, Robin, and wondergirl to try and slow the fog down, while Roquette worked on the virus, while this was happening Miss Martian and Artemis who were opposed to be on guard were arguing and let two assassins attacked the doctor but before they could deliver a killing blow Supergirl stepped in front of the knife acting as a shield for the doctor. Dragon Breath and Aqualad then go into full into full combat with the assassins. The first one attacks Dragon Breath he analyzes the women fighting, she is well trained but he is trained better he quickly evades her and blocks her before going the offensive, he knocks her back and quickly gets to the doctor to rush her out of the room, Aqualad buys him time by attacking both of them at once. Gohan stays on Guard after getting her to a more secured room. He senses a powerful presence a man with really long spiky hair and a tail wrapped around his waist appears he stands there with a skin tight black suit with a half mask covering his mouth and nose. Dragon Breath gets into a defensive stance, before he could react the foe appears behind sending a powerful kick to Dragon Breath's back knocking him across the room. Dragon Breath quickly recovers and send a barrage of kicks and punches that the man effortlessly blocks, Dragon Breath back hand springs to create distance, he then use full power in his base form, he then goes in for an Axe kick but his legs are caught and he his tossed into the wall hard. Before he could get up said man his behind him and sticks a needle into his neck, Dragon Breath tries to fight and Kicks the man, he gets up his vision blurry.

He then powers up to his Akari form, Dragon breath his sweating badly and he falls to his knees trying his hardest to keep awake, The doctor yells that the upload is finished, but is short lived after the man snaps her neck killing her, Gohan yells no and tries to get up but blacks out instantly. Gohan wakes up back at mount Justice he tries to get up back his body is aching, "Sweetheart relax, you had a poison put in you," he notice his mom, "What happened," he asked. Batman walks in, "We were hoping you could tell us," Gohan thinks back to what happened, once he remembers he breaks down in tears, "I couldn't save her mom," Kora hugs him tightly, "It's okay my sweet, sweet boy," she says as he kisses his forehead. She looks over at Batman who nods. He quickly rushes to the team to for debriefing on the mission. "Other than one casualty the mission was a success with you all stopping the Fog, Great work," Batman says. The team on the other hand feels like the failed, they let a woman die, it didn't feel like a win for them, Batman noticed this, "Counseling with Cannery is mandatory tomorrow do not miss it," he says. Supergirl listens to Gohan breaking down, her heart breaks a little, wondergirl notice the look on her friend's face she looks into the room with Gohan and his mother and her hurts hurts too at the sight. Today was not the day for the Team. 

 Sad end to the chapter for the team it hurt to write this a little but I pushed through it I hoped you all enjoyed this chapter
