Blinding light graced Cyrils eyes, waking him up from his dreamless slumber. Groggily, he sat up and caught a look of himself in the mirror. Oh, what a sight he was! One imperfection of his was that no matter what, after sleeping his hair would look horrendous. His wavy, golden locks were folded each and every way. His eyes still hung low from sleep, limiting much of his vision. Cyril stood up unsteadily, stalking towards the door, only to stub his toe on the corner of his wardrobe. He yelled out in pain, if he wasn't awake before, he was now. Not even 30 seconds later, a dishevelled Ezio sprant in, a wild look in his eyes. "Are you alright? What happened?" He was scanning Cyril head to toe for any injuries. He knew what would have to suffer the wrath of the Goddess Psyche, if her only son ended up harmed.
"I'm fine, Ezio, calm down," Cyril smiled slightly at his frantic behaviour. They looked at each other, waiting for the other to say something. Ezio gave in, Cyril's gaze being too intense to beat.
"Your first day of human school, are you excited?" He mumbled. Cyril shrugged, he wasn't sure. Ezio nodded slightly and rushed off somewhere. Cyril went to his bathroom, took in the full wall mirror and the ridiculously large bathtub and the shower that stood prideful in the corner. He slid into the shower after removing his night wear. The scolding water ran down his back as he ran his fingers through his golden hair. Many, many questions circled his head, unreasonable ones, would people like him, be intimidated, would he like his teachers. Things he didn't need to worry about.
After he finished his shower and walked out, he found his uniform and a little planner thing laid across his bed. Cyril guessed Ezio snuck in here while he was in the shower. He inspected the uniform, it was alright, it was only black trousers, a white button up shirt, with a tie and a burgundy blazer to match. Cyril then picked up the planner, flicking through it. He noticed Ezio's handwriting saying any human basics that he may forget and the cases that he needed to sort out.
After a hot shower, Cyril stumbled out of his room, freshly dressed in the uniform. The journey in the car was less than unpleasant, as the painful twirl deep in Cyril's stomach wasn't stopping, only getting more powerful. Noticing the car slow to a stop, Cyril gazed out the window, miserable, looking at people around his age walking around, some were playing, others just sitting still. Cyril already hated it, he wanted the car to go straight back to the house. Gathering the little willpower he had, Cyril reluctantly opened the car door already feeling multiple gazes piercing as he walked through the school gates. The level of noise that echoed through the building put Cyril on edge, his head welcoming the feeling of a splitting migraine. He signed, walking down the countless hallways. The shrieking of a bell stopped him looking as large groups of people started filling his surroundings. Overhearing a person in front of him complain about having science with Mr. Kasper. Sparing a glance at his timetable that was what he had, and decided to follow them instead of him wasting his time.
The classroom was boring, just a bland white box, with a man just the same standing at the front.
"Ah, you must be the new student, welcome, please introduce yourself, then sit down here." The man spoke, everyone in the room going silent, maybe curious, maybe disgusted, Cyril couldn't tell.
Taking a deep breath,Cyril said, "Hi, I'm Cyril, nice to meet you," He quickly ran to the seat, putting his bag down. He could hear whispers around him, what they were about, he didn't know.
The next 20 minutes were the most boring minutes of his life and that's saying something.
"Hi!" A bright voice broke Cyril out of his stupor . He turned to see a girl with a warm smile.
She continued to say," I'm Juniper and this emo next to me is Paris, but don't mind him."
"Hi, nice to meet you, i like your hair," Cyril awkwardly respond
The girl beamed, twirling her grey hair around a finger, "thanks, i can tell we're going to be good friends, Cyril, Paris say hi, you grumpy cat," Juniper scolded, nudging the boy next to her.
The boy, Paris, grumbled a hi, not even bothering to look at Cyril. However, he just ignored the boy, enjoying his conversation with the happy girl.
After the lesson ended, Juniper walked with Cyril to art, as it seemed they shared a lot of classes together to Cyril's relief. But so did Paris, although the boy had disappeared.
Throughout art, Juniper had introduced Cyril to all of her friends, who were incredibly nice. When the bell signalled the start of break, which Cyril had been worried about, Juniper invited him to eat with them, removing a brilliant weight off his shoulders. They all sat underneath a willow tree with hundreds of other groups walking round them. He found himself quite enjoying the peoples present, until he felt a single pair of eyes burning into the side of his head.

A sharp whistle broke Paris out of his head.
"Huh, what were you saying?" He spoke out, forcing his eyes towards his most trusted friend, who was smirking at him.
"You were staring at him, the new boy, you like him, don't you, Paris?" Jace teased, nudging him with his shoulder.
Paris scoffed and turned away, his face burning for some reason, "No, what are you on about?" He didn't like the new boy, did he? As far as he was aware, he was straight, very, very straight. Boys weren't his thing. But then why couldn't he stop thinking about him, looking at him? Surely it was just curiosity, the excitement of a new student. Yes, that was it.
"Well, you definitely like how he looks, you've been completely ignoring me, too busy staring at him," Jace commented, sensing Paris' embarrassment.
Said boy now panicking. Was he actually staring? Did anyone see, he prayed not, they would get the completely wrong impression. But then again, he thought as his gaze trailed back to the beautiful boy, he wasn't particularly bad looking. He was rather nice to look at, with perfect golden curls sitting just above azure blue eyes, which led to gorgeous lips with a gorgeous smile-. Paris' eyes widened, he really liked the new boy. Never had he ever thought that way about anyone, even in past relationships. Then his heart froze, his dual-coloured eyes met with a stunning blue. Swiftly, he tore his eyes away, standing up and walking to the library, feeling the eyes on his retreating figure. Jace was surprised by his sudden movements, soon chasing after him.
"I'm right, aren't I? You totally like him," Jace smiled before he felt the pure panic rolling off his best friend's body, "It's fine that you do, you know that right?"
"Of course there's nothing wrong with it, I just never thought I would be like that, I like him, i genuinely like him, fuck" Paris ranted, running his fingers through the mess on top of his head.
