The 'Deal'

There was a crowd around us at this point and all eyes were on Natsu. He sat at the table staring down the enemy, a ghost pepper. Natsu looked up at me grinning madly. He laughed maniacally and shoved the whole pepper in his mouth in an instant. The whole crown gasped on cue. Natsu chewed and lowered his head down on the table. Oh god, was he dead? After a few seconds Natsu burst up from the table, jumping on the bench yelling, "NOW I GOT A FIRE IN MY BELLY!" Laughing like a mad man.
"OH MY GOD, NATSU CALM DOWN!" I screamed after him. The crowd cheered and clapped for Natsus great victory against the ghost pepper. I started to laugh along with everyone, like actually laugh. Man, it's been a long time since I've done that. I looked over at Natsu who was still standing on the seat, one foot raised on the table, doing a victory pose and I could tell he loves to laugh.
After things quieted down a little bit more, Natsu and I finally got our real meal, which of course was free. Natsu got some kind of spicy enchiladas with ghost pepper sauce; I swear this kid has a death wish, and I got just simple nachos. "You only got chips and cheese? Laaaame." Natsu said with his mouth full of spicy goodness.
"Well I didn't want to eat a lot. And could you not talk with your mouth full? That would be great." I said properly eating my chips.
"Hey, if you want to eat with me you're just going to have to learn to deal with it. Anyways I want to ask you something." Ask me something!? Woah, what did he mean by that? So many questions popped into my head.
"Uhm, what?" I said to him doing a horrible poker face. Luckily he didn't seem to notice In between bites of his food.
"So I saw you hanging out with that Levy chick. Blue hair, glasses, short."
"Yeah, why?" Why did he want to know about Levy. She said she wasn't 'popular' but what did Natsu want with her?
"And you guys are becoming good friends right?" Okay, what did he want to know?
"Yes. Just ask the question already!"
"I need you to find out who she likes. And once you know tell me."
"Why would I do that? Do you like her or something? That's pretty shallow to take me-"
"No, no, no, I don't like her. I like someone else. A buddy of mine wants to know. I don't know if he likes her or not but he wanted me to find out and you and I both know she won't tell me. So will you find out?" I didn't want to be a bad friend to Levy but I also did want to know who his 'buddy' was.
"Fine. I'll find out. On one condition. You have to tell me who this 'buddy' of yours is and I'll tell you if its that 'buddy'. Okay?" I said to him from across the table reaching my hand out so he could shake it. He seemed to be thinking about it but finally he put his hand out and shook mine. "Deal."
