Dudeeeeee, why is everything so chaotic right now

Johnnie Pov:

"Hey Johnnie. It's Bryan."

I stared at the message wondering how Bryan got my number.

"Jake, Bryan texted me." I sighed

"Ignore him, he's not worth your time." Jake replied.

"Yeah, I know, but he'll just spam me regardless of what I do." I frowned.

I eyed the text once more before typing a reply:

"What Bryan?"

His response came in just moments.

"You're gay?"

I thought about this for a moment, I never really thought about my sexuality enough to label it besides straight. Maybe Bi? However, I knew he was asking for a different reason, he didn't care my sexuality, he just figured out he had a chance with me, whatever I was, now that I was dating a man.

"I don't have time for this Bryan, I know what you're trying to get at, respectfully get a life, and stop finding my number."

I blocked him after that. Jake was over my shoulder reading the messages and he smiled down at me. I looked up at him and delicately kissed him, smiling back, unable to hide the pure happiness I got just looking at him.

"Thank you." I said, without much thought or context.

"For what?"

"Everything. Just everything, you're amazing." I grinned.

We sat there in a moment of pure bliss, soaking each other in. I loved this man, with every part of my being. It felt too soon to even think like that, but we'd been friends for so long it felt natural to love my best friend.

"I'm dating my best friend, and it's incredible." Jake almost hummed, seemingly reading my mind.

"It really is." I replied.

I grabbed my phone and noticed the ungodly number of notifications I'd planned on ignoring. Many texts just saying congratulations, many missed calls, the annoyance was from the still-coming fan and hater opinions. I considered taking a social media break entirely, because just looking at this was overwhelming.

"Johnnie."

Jake's voice broke my train of thought.

"We ended up number one trending on YouTube, this is insane, almost impossible. One announcement broke the internet."

"Do we just continue as normal? This is wild." I answered, dumbfounded about everything.

"I guess!" He laughed, "I haven't exactly experienced anything like this in my career."

"Me either" I added.

This is going to be nearly impossible to navigate at first, was it smart to post a video so soon, with no plan in sight? This is so new to us, one wrong move and we're hated, one right move and we're hated, no matter what we do. This made me wanna write a song, a twisted love story tainted by others and their prejudices. I just want to shut the world away, and exist with Jake, to just be. Easier said than done.

A FEW HOURS PASS BY

Jake pov:

The internet is a wild place, a hateful ugly place, a beautiful positive place, but there are so many sides.

There's a thunderstorm going on right now, and Johnnie is getting anxious, because for the first time in a while, there's tornado watches.

Sirens start blaring and Johnnie about loses it. He's scared sh*tless, I'd call him a pussy, but I'm a bit worried too, also a bit high (thanks Johnnie).
