(The Eminence in Shadow world)
Shadow Garden, an organization created from the minds of 7 fanatics and their fantasist leader.
It is known to the readers that all of the achievements made by their leader, Shadow, are merely due to luck and chance, given that his ability to understand the background of the situation is almost zero.
This paired up with the fact that his followers believe in him as an almighty-all-knowing GOD, he's always kept out of the loop and thus never really gets anything but always gets the job done.
Now, by some ungodly reason, Shadow is now in his Head Quarters located in Alexandria.
"Man~ I'm so bored! School's starting in a week and I need to catch up on my studies or I'll lose my MOB essence." Shadow.
This is Cid Kagenou, also known as Shadow. He's a delusional obsessive patient of the 8th grade syndrome, whom aspires to become the "Eminence in the Shadows", whatever the fuck he means by that.
His currently studying since he's been neglecting his schoolwork after he let himself be suck by a dimensional portal and reappear in an apocalyptic earth with magical beasts.
The reason as to why he's studying here is mainly due to Alpha, an elf that Shadow unintentionally saved years ago, called him for an important meeting in Alexandria.
"Welp, it's not like I had to be here, I just really don't want to study today." Shadow (This is our "smart" protagonist).
Suddenly, Shadow sensed a difference in the mana in the air and sensed the 7 Shadows walking towards his room, with a swift movement, he hid all his study materials inside his slime suit and sat himself in an ominous manner.
"Shadow-Sama!" Alpha called out his name when she entered the room.
Alongside her, the Seven Shadows also looked at him but were taken aback by Shadow's gaze. A powerful gaze of dominance but that also showed annoyance.
'Sure enough, Shadow-Sama must be mad that we allowed this unknown package arrive without finding a clue who left it.' Alpha.
'Shadow-Sama must be disappointed at us.' Beta.
'I'm so ashamed of ourselves, Shadow-Sama!' Gamma.
'The boss is mad; I don't want to be scolded.' Delta.
'WAAAAH! I don't want Shadow-Sama to be mad at me! Be mad at Beta!' Epsilon.
'This is bad, I've never seen Shadow-Sama this mad before.' Zeta.
'Scary......... Shadow-Sama's......aura is......scary.........' Eta.
'Crap! I was taken aback by them arriving faster than I was expecting and pushed a little too much my "serious eminence" facial expression.' Cid.
"Bring it here." Shadow.
'They must've brought a report card, right? That's what they want, right?!' Shadow.
The Shadows, except Delta, get surprised and Alpha quietly puts the box on Shadow's table.
'As expected of Shadow-Sama! He was already aware of the box.' Alpha.
'A box? What's this suppose to mean? They tend to give me some makeshift fake reports and I simply agreed to them, but a box? Well, now I have to keep the roleplay, don't want to ruin it.' Cid.
"Its contents may be at plain sight, but his true purpose lies elsewhere." Shadow.
Shadow brushed his hand above the box, activating a hidden mechanism. Afterwards, the box suddenly opened, revealing a bright red button.
The Seven Shadows got into defensive positions, except Eta, and looked at the box in surprise.
'Impossible, even with Eta's detection tools, we didn't find nothing unusual!' Alpha.
'I can't believe we made such a slipup.' Beta.
'How were they able to hide such a mechanism from us?!' Gamma.
'Red button! I wanna press it! but Alpha-sama will scold me if I do so.' Delta.
'How is this possible?! My Mana sensibility exceeds everyone here but Shadow-Sama! I can't believe that a mere button escaped my senses!' Epsilon.
'We should've disposed of that box when we first saw it, I knew it was a bad omen!' Zeta.
'Hm...... interesting......the button......is very......interesting...and......dangerous...' Eta.
'Whoa... I didn't even sense the button inside the box, whoever crafted it has some really good techniques, or maybe my detection abilities need some more tuning.' Cid.
"HMPH! Reveal your true purpose, or disappear from my sight!" Shadow.
Just then, the piece of paper appeared on top of the button.
Shadow took the paper.
'Right...! I don't understand any of it! Better leave it to Beta.' Cid.
"Beta." Shadow.
"Yes, Shadow-Sama!" Beta.
"Share the information in this paper out loud." Shadow.
"Yes, Shadow-Sama!" Beta.
Beta took the paper and decoded it in a second, then, she proceeded to read it.
"Shadow, my name is Wexof, and I humbly invite you to my dimension alongside your followers to meet the greatest warriors in the whole multiverse, that way, you can show your prowess." Beta.
'Pass! A true Eminence of Shadows never reveals his true power to anyone! I'm not going around as an attention whore, besides, I got to study.' Cid.
All you have to do is press the button, should you NOT want to accept my invitation, just leave it alone for the next 24 hours. PS..." Beta looked confused at the end.
"What's wrong, Beta?" Shadow.
"Apologies, but it seems that the next part is some sort of nonsense." Beta.
"Just read it anyway." Shadow.
"It says: ybay ethay ayway, iyay illway opstay ethay imetay inyay ouryay orldway andyay on'tway inviteyay ouryay istersay oryay anyoneyay elseyay esidesbay ethay evensay adowsshay, atthay ayway ouyay ancay enjoyyay ethay eacepay andyay uietqay andyay udystay orfay ouryay examsyay, eatnay ealday, uhhay?" Beta.
(Translation: By the way, I will stop the time in your world and won't invite your sister or anyone else besides the Seven Shadows, that way you can enjoy the peace and quiet and study for your exams, neat deal, huh?)
'CHANCE!!!' Cid.
Shadow slammed the button immediately, much to the Seven Shadow's surprise, and stood up.
"Prepare for another journey throughout the unknown! This will be beyond anything else we've handled before." Shadow.
"Yes, Shadow-Sama/Boss!" Seven Shadows.
Just then, the space began to distort and the eight figures disappeared from sight.
'Wait, are the study books being transferred alongside me?' Cid.
