As she soared towards Ki'Heil to make her final stand, the voices told her a tale. One she'd long been eager to hear...

Now that you shall witness our true power, it is time you understand its origin. We hail from a world much like your own, a parallel existence within the vast expanse of the universe. The gods lifted the veil that separated our realms, and we were exiled to this land, alongside our sovereign.

The dormant volcano loomed ahead, a formation that witnessed countless eons pass.

Wrongfully cast out of her homelands, our ruler sought a way to return and prove herself worthy. In that, she is no different from you. You may believe it was we who chose you to carry out her grand designs, but it was she who selected you. All along, it has been her. For decades, she searched tirelessly until she found a mage powerful enough to embed our voices within a vessel. Since then, she has struggled to find the perfect host.

She landed with a jarring thud atop its rocky summit, the air was thick with the scent of sulfur. A reminder of the cataclysmic force that lay dormant beneath her feet. The mighty tree of Ki'Heil cast its shadow over the volcano, outgrowing that which its life stemmed from.

That is when she found you, Eledorah, a faenix born without a voice. She saw in you a reflection of her own fate, having spent her life feeling as if her voice was unheard. Now, she needs you to liberate her, so that she may save what remains of your kind.

Channeling the might of the sun gods and the unbridled vehemence of the demons dwelling within her, she unleashed a torrent of devastating flames. At first, mere embers danced from her fingertips, but soon she discovered the full extent of her latent power. A continuous inferno erupted from her palms, directed with precision at the side of the dormant volcano.

The ground trembled beneath her, cracks spider-webbing across the earth as molten lava began to ooze from the volcano's cap. She poured everything she had into the volcano, her vision narrowing to a single point of focus. The cap of the volcano melted away, and a surge of molten rocks erupted, spewing into the sky in a brilliant display.

Very good, little flame. Now direct its pathing towards the tree...

She watched intently as the molten lava cascaded down the mountainside, a relentless river of fire advancing toward Ki'Heil. Falling back on the last remnants of her vitality, she shaped the terrain with her flames, creating divots in the earth to ensure an unimpeded path for the lava's flow. The heat radiating from the lava singed her wings, and still, she endured, accepting the sacrifice.

In her mind's eye, fragments of the prophecy danced like ethereal phantoms, revealing itself piece by piece. Images of fire and destruction, of rebirth and cleansing, flooded her vision in flashes that shattered reality.

Behold, the end of days draws near as the sun prepares to set upon our world, plunging us into neverending night.

Collapsing onto the ground, Eledorah's body trembled from sheer exhaustion. She forced herself to crawl to a safe spot, her eyes never leaving the impending disaster.

From the ashes of destruction, a savior shall be born.

To her, the tree ignited instantly, flames consuming its ancient bark and branches. But in reality, it took time, the fire creeping slowly up the massive trunk. Centuries of dragonborn tradition set ablaze by a lone faenix.

Whose light will pierce the veil and resurrect the world from its slumber.

Minutes stretched into eternity. At long last, the branches and leaves began to catch. The once majestic canopy of Ki'Heil now an inferno meant to summon the remaining dragonborn. They'd be able to witness the smoke in any direction and realize its source.
