SYDNEY BLACKWELL is tired!

Being the only acceptable heir to the Blackwell family's dynasty was exhausting. Because, no matter how hard anyone tried, they couldn't take the load off her back.

    It started when she was fifteen. Syd, if you win this match, I'll give you fifty bucks—Sydney, stop moping about your mother, Natasha can take you dress shopping—Syd, did you pass your intern exam? Good girl.

    So she was under pressure. A metric ton of it, by the way. Like a fractured glass, bound to crack at any moment. Her glass had always been chipped, smudged by the fingers of people who unknowingly sent her to the breaking point. Maybe Sydney didn't know what it was like to just be okay, there was always a catch.

     Unfortunately, she wasn't allowed to break. Only to be mended—yet, she had to do the mending herself. And she did, for the most part.

     But, when her hospital merges with another, she finds a boy willing to put up with her fractures, and repair the ones he didn't even cause.

—okay, firstly: HELLO! and thank you for choosing cupid's chokehold.
—here are a few important things before starting this book.
A. certain ships, events, and characters will be changed for plot purposes! im also undecided on a specialty for her, i was thinking peds or neuro?
B. i know that the whole famous surgeon parents!oc x jackson is popular (i eat it up everytime), but it's fun to write. her dad runs a foundation and her stepmom's a surgeon. they also (mostly) unknowingly pressure sydney all her life. it's greys, everyone has family issues.
C. i hate how many times grey's couples need to break up in order to get together—so that's definitely changing. and on that note, this isn't a super slow burn. like, mid at most.
