Everyone is at the training grounds. I was still not in the best mood. Erik, Sam, and I were at one part with little Peter. The teenager looked extremely nervous. "Don't worry I won't go hard on you," I tell him. "Erik is a different story."
"So what exactly are we doing," he asks nervously.
"Teaching," Erik answers annoyed. Smacking his arm as to say not to scare the boy.
"Ignore him, I do almost 99% of the time. Now tell me how do you fight bad guys."
"Well I don't know, I guess I just wing it," Peter admits.
"Not bad but that won't always be the case. You will face someone who is smarter than you, has more experience, or is unpredictable as you. Lesson number one unpredictability." I take out a red flag from my back pocket. "You and Wilson will play a game of capture the flag. You will have ten minutes. Last one holding the flag is the winner."
"How does this teach me unpredictability?" Giving him a small smirk in response.
"You shall see or you won't. Wilson you'll start with the flag."
"You'll go easy on me right Mr. Wilson?" Peter asks.
"Oh don't worry kid," Sam says with a smile. "I just need to get you back for what happened at the airport." Peter stutters with trying to explain himself. A smile graces my face. Peter is still just a kid in the very end.
"I think he and Eli would make good friends," Erik comments. "He needs a less serious friend."
"Are you saying our boy needs to find his own Charles?" I asks teasingly.
"Nevermind, I can't deal with him most of the time and I can't imagine it going well for Eli. He might kill the boy."
"That's because he's your son. He has the same tolerance for people as you. It seems to get worse as he gets older."
"I didn't hate you when we first met."
"That is because you were impressed that I was willing to throw a knife at you."
"Well many have threatened to do it doesn't mean to follow through." I let out a small laugh. I should have not expected anything less. Parker wasn't too bad, but not to throw in an unexpected factor.
"You're up," I whisper to Erik. He smirks before levitating himself and uses a quarter to steal the flag.
"Hey," Peter whines.
"Man that ain't fair," Sam complains.
"Lesson number two be prepared for the odds to turn more against you. Now both of you will go against Erik to steal the flag. He is not allowed to move from his spot but he can move the flag. Your job is to steal it within the next five minutes. Good luck."
"That flag is mine," Sam states before diving for the flag. Oh how fun this is to watch. Maybe I should get some popcorn.
"Ah," Illyana had screamed. What in the world happened. I turn to see many men with the same smiling face. Oh no, Dani!
"Dani!" I yell at the girl. That seems to break her out of her trance. The men disappear in shadowy wisps. Running towards the girls to keep them apart.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean too," Dani sobs. Putting my hands on the girl's shoulders trying to calm her down.
"Hey it's alright. It happens to the best of us," I reassure her.
"I'm going to kill you," Illyana growls out. Colossus grabs his sister before she can cause any damage.
"That is enough," I scolded the girl. "You know the rules and you will follow them. I have told you multiple times not to push it."
