"Ughhh!!", I buried my face into my pillow.
"Baeee, what's wrong?", Megan questioned me.
I've been trying to complete this song but I just don't know what else to add to it. I feel like it's not enough lyrics.
"I don't know what else to write down for this song..", I whined. I was about to turn my camera around to show Megan the lyrics but then I realized... "Shit!"
"What song?", Megan asked.
"Nothing. Just helping someone with a song..", I lied.
I wasn't supposed to mention the song to her. I feel exhausted and unable to focus correctly at the moment. I need to go get my hair done and prepare for tomorrow. I had promised Usher I would be ready, but I'm not. I constantly push myself beyond my capabilities.
"Ok... well I have to go. I love you!", Megan said before hanging up the phone.
I got out of bed and headed to the shower. As I showered, I sang my song hoping to come up with some new lyrics. I had a few ideas, but I'm not sure if they will work. Tomorrow at the studio, I know Usher will be able to help me refine them.
I decided to video call Usher once I got out of the shower and got dressed so I could sing my song while playing the piano to see what he thought about it so far.
I sat my phone up and directed it towards me and the piano before calling him.
"Hello, Beyoncé!", Usher said as he answered the phone.
"Hey! Are you busy? I want to see what you think about my song so far.", I said. "Excuse the way I look, I have to get ready to get my hair done.", I added.
Usher shook his head. "You still look beautiful but I'm not busy.", He said.
"Okay.", I smiled.
I carefully played the piano and sang. I glanced at my phone and Usher was smiling and swaying his head with the music.
"I love it!", Usher said with a smile.
"Really?..", I questioned him. "Do you think there is anything I need to add?"
"In my opinion, no. Once you record it, you can always go over it and perfect it to your liking.", He told me.
I expressed my gratitude to him before ending the call and heading to the salon for a few hours to have my hair styled. The time spent there was well worth it because my hair turned out cute.
