Bosco doesn't let her walls down for just anyone. Daya is one of the special people she does it for.
Canon compliant and takes place during their For the Girls tour.
----Daya didn't get to sleep till late that night, exhausted from the show they had done that day plus running through choreo for some of her own upcoming gigs. A hotel bed had never felt as comfortable as it did tonight. She absolutely loved touring with her two best friends, despite how much work it was. There were way more pros than cons when it came to it. Like being able to kiss Bosco for every performance.
But with all the work that went into it, she didn't quite get to dwell too much on the feelings she had everytime it happened. And when they weren't working, she was too tired to really get into those feelings. The most important thing is she liked it. And Bosco obviously did too since it was her idea.
Daya found herself drifting off to sleep with thoughts of her friend in her mind. That was usually how every night was. But before she could fully fall asleep, there was quiet knocking at her hotel room door.
She let out a groan at the sound. She just wasted sleep. Figuring it was just Camden coming to get Rosé's sweater she had left in the room, she pulled herself up, knowing the other queen couldn't usually sleep without it. She turned the light back on so Camden would be able to find it, heading yo the door and opening it up. "Cam- oh. Well hi sleepy."
Bosco stood in the doorway, her eyes heavy as she avoided Daya's gaze. She whispered a quiet greeting that the taller queen couldn't quite make out before ducking under Daya's arm and making her way inside.
Daya raised a brow, turning to watch as Bosco kept her arms wrapped around herself as she made her way to the one bed in the room. She pulled herself up into it, curling up in a tight ball underneath the blankets.
She was quiet, and that wasn't really like her. Daya closed the door and hurried over to her, laying a hand on her waist. "Bosco? You alright?"
Bosco let out a quiet sigh, just burying herself further into the blankets. "Lay with me." She replied, not answering the question. "Please...?"
Daya just nodded, dimming the lights before getting back into bed. This time with Bosco. The girl wasted no time before snuggling against the taller queen's side, hiding her face from her view.
The cuddling part wasn't unusual. There had been many nights throughout Werq the World where Daya would wake up with her arms around her friend. It was the way Bosco was acting that was unusual. Daya laid a hand on her back, tracing gentle patterns over the shirt Bosco had stolen from her. "Baby? Talk to me, please. Was it a bad dream?"
Bosco shrugged, but leaned into her touch. Her hands reached out to tangle into the fabric of Daya's shirt, desperately trying to pull her closer. "No, I just...I don't know."
Her voice shook, immediately alerting Daya. Gently, she lifted Bosco up to rest her head against her chest instead, cradling her carefully in her arms and tucking the blankets around her. "Well, whatever it is, I've got you. I'm right here."
They were silent for a while. Daya did whatever she could to comfort Bosco and help her relax. She ran a hand up under her shirt, rubbing at her soft skin. She stroked her other hand through her hair and brushed her lips softly against her forehead in the way she knew made the girl blush. Bosco's hold on her only tightened.
And then she finally spoke a little louder. "I need you..." She squeaked out, lifting her head a bit to meet Daya's eyes. "Please..."
Daya frowned when seeing the tears in her eyes. She cupped her face in her hands, stroking a thumb over a stray tear. "What do you mean, baby? What do you need from me?"
