After the ceremony everybody applaused the newly made couple. The mothers wished their happiness earnestly. The understand the circumstances under their kids getting bethroed but the desperately wants their kids to be happy together, to erade the distance between them..

Arnav's mother started distributing the sweets between the family & close relatives. They invited few relatives to make the marriage more believable. Arnav & Khushi kept looking at their fingers that was adoring each other's rings. Khushi's mind is blank. She waited for this day for years but now when it finally happened she is feeling nothing.
Arnav wanted to run away from this shackle so bad. Did so many things to not to get trapped in this relationship but look what life threw at him.

Khushi's father looked at the mixed emotions flowing in the room & said " now that we are done with the official ceremony. Now let's go & eat b.i need to go out side the city urgently. Khushi is also going with him. But he didn't share that part. They don't know when they will come back. If it wasn't ordered by higher authority he wouldn't have taken her with him before her marriage. He needs a blanket to hide the truth. He called atharv aside & shared the predicament. Atharv told him to rest assured he would handle it. As Arnav won't look for Khushi it won't be a problem.

They all started having dinner. Arnav's mother cooked a feast. Despite it being the fake engagement it is still her son's big day she is so happy that she couldn't help it. Khushi & Arnav seated together on the table. Khushi hardly looked at him. It somehow makes him angry for some unknown reason. Anjali looked at them and thought of a mischief. Her eyes started dancing looking at the couple. Her mother pinched at her arms warning her not to do anything outrageous. But Anjali being anjali couldn't help herself. "Chote, did u forget about the custom in our family? " she exclaimed suddenly. Arnav who was trying to have his first bite stopped midway & glared at his sister. He couldn't even curse her because his father was sitting in front of him. Khushi's mother tentatively asked "what custom?" Khushi just pretended to not to hear the conversation as she knows the custom after all she has phd on Raizada family. 🥴

Anjali got excited by the question & replied "That Arnav has to give his first bite to Khushi after the ring ceremony. It says that sharing the first bite will make them more loving to each other." Silence fell into the hall room. They know in what circumstances the marriage is happening. They didn't know Anjali would bring the custom. here. Arnav silently offered his food to Khushi. Khushi was so surprised her mouth fell open. Arnav shoved the food in her mouth without thinking much. He just wanted this jest to be over. He is done. Headache is crawling towards him. They all clapped awkwardly seeing the scenario. Khushi still kept mum. She also wanted this to be over.

After dinner they sat down & searched a auspicious day for the marriage. It was agreed that after 15 days on friday they would hold a wedding ceremony. It will be homely. So less than 20 people will be invited.Anjali's husband will also able to attend that day.

After agreeing on the date Guptas prepared to leave. Arnav's mother invited Khushi & her mother for wedding shopping but surprising Arnav Khushi declined saying she has some urgent works. Won't be able to join. He thought "What so urgent that u wouldn't want to buy your wedding dress? Do u have date with that coffee shop guy?" He suddenly got pissed. He has no control over his messy emtions now. It's like he is on roler coaster mood swings. He doesn't under what's it had to do with him whether Khushi had date or not.

Khushi & Shashi gupta has a midnight flight. They went home in hurry to change & leave at once. The mission is very secret they also don't have much information regarding this. Every missions is last mission for them. As surviving rate is always 50:50.
Shashi Gupta kissed his wife's forehead before leaving like he always do. Garima couldn't stop crying as usual. Khushi looked at her mother & hugged her tightly. Her mother whispered 'I finally got u back after so many struggle. Please don't leave me again baby. Please be alive, be safe. Come back to mumma. Khushi couldn't hold her tears. She promised to take care of herself & her father.

It 2 days after the engagement.
Arnav is very busy. He is preparing to relocate in India. As he isn't permited to leave the country his job is being difficult. Also looking for threat of his life is being time consuming. They didn't find any hints till now. Arnav was thinking of appointing a private Detective but he wasn't sure as army was involved. He doesn't want to get in trouble. Vut he hates being blind sided.
Also his supposed fiance took over his head. That dam* girl just disappeared from the face of earth. She is such a mystery now. The girl he knew whole his life it feels like he never knew her. There is something wrong with her attitude he couldn't pinpoint exactly what. He called her yesterday because of his mother's cribbing but her phone was switched off. Her mother also didn't gave a accurate answer when his mother called wondering.
