Yesterday we just tried to finish the house. It doesn't work out. It just looks like a fire ring. Dirty and ugly. But we found a cabin northwest of Iver Avenue. Made completely out of stone. Dylan was glad. He said, "If lightning strikes at least it won't catch on fire." I agree.

And there is a stream near the cabin. We boil the water from it to make them as safe as possible to drink. The water spilled the first time we tried to heat it up. So I got burned. I'm fine now. Though it kinda hurts when you touch that spot.

There's some furniture inside already. We assume that the occupants who lived here before must have escaped when there was a bombing. It's not big. Clearly, only one person was living here. Just one bed. One set of utensils. One dining-table. One desk.

We go in and ahead of us is a table for two at the end of the room. On our right, there is a desk for work. On our left is the wall with two coat hangers. Behind the desk, there's a bed facing the desk. There's a window on the left of the bed too. On the right of the bed, there's a nightstand with a lamp on it. It takes batteries to work and we found some in the nightstand drawer. Next to the nightstand, there's a kitchen with a cupboard and stove. Dylan was so ecstatic. Now he had a place to cook. I was just happy I will definitely have food to eat since in the cupboard there's food. Bread and stuff. No refrigerator but that's fine. I'll figure something out. It's supposed to be a gas stove but there's no electricity or anything to power it up, so Dylan has his lighter ready.

But out of all that, one thing comes most in handy. The books in the bookshelf on the desk. There were books about everything. From cooking to language, military to survival skills.

It was perfect. Fantastic, really.

We'll figure out something for the bed.

We put stones, marking the way to the village. They're marked with an arrow. Just so we won't get lost, you know.

We got some blankets from the village, even though they are dirty, but they are good enough for now. It'll do as a bed for us. We'll take turns sleeping on it.

Dylan's doing all the cooking now but the lighter is running out of fuel. I have to think of something soon.

It's late now and I'm really tired. Good night.
