the world greeted kasturie with a throbbing in her lower abdomen. ugh. she knew exactly what it was. burrowing deeper under the covers, she groaned. fortunately, she wasn't alone.
a muffled clatter came from the kitchen. yawning, she dragged herself out of bed, following the sound. she wondered, how the hell it was possible that she slept in the living room with ishan and shubman and woke up in her bedroom. there, in her kitchen, she found ishan and shubman, both looking slightly flustered.
"good morning, raani sa," Ishan greeted, a pan of sizzling something in his hand. "humne socha ki tu kab se hume khaana bana ke khila rhi hai, toh aaj kuch humare taraf se tere liye bana de."
she managed a weak smile. "thank you, guys but mere kitchen ki maa behen mat kar dena."
"nonsense, bharosa nhi kya tera hum pe?" shubman noticed something was wrong with her, she seemed very low that morning. on the other days her energetic and enthusiastic self would've annoyed the hell out of them. and then it clicked.
"tum dono pe hai but tumhare cooking skills pe nhi."
"yeh bhi theek hai." shubman said, placing a mug filled with steaming liquid on the counter. "yeh le, coffee pi le. it should help."
over the next few hours, ishan and shubman transformed her living room into a relaxation haven. pillows were strategically placed, a harry potter movie marathon was queued up, and a heating pad was on standby. they even managed to convince her to eat some toast and fruits.
