A/N: This story is set about two years after the final battle. Cassandra returns to corona after request from rapunzel, though tension is still high from the other citizens of corona. (also this chapter isnt finished i just desperately need ideas so pls comment them im sorry D': )
3rd POV:
The day after Cassandra arrived back at Corona, Raps and her go out together to enjoy the new shops the citizens set up.
"So, what did you do while you were exploring?" Rapunzel asks, enthusiastic as usual. Cass glances at Raps nervously, still feeling extremely guilty for everything that happened before she left. "Uh...explore?" She replies, keeping her eyes on the ground.
"Hey? Cass, you ok?" Raps tries to catch Cass's eye but fails. Clearly, something was wrong. "I'm not wanted here.." The girl replies quietly and in a scared tone, though her face still stays in the same serious expression. Raps looks around, and notices all the stares and whispers directed at them. She scoffs, pissed off at the people making her friend feel bad. Suddenly, a small child runs up to them holding a small stick. Rapunzel smiles at them, "Oh! Hello there-" The little boy rapidly smacks Cassandra's shin with the stick and starts running away.
"OW! Lil' shit!" The raven haired girl exclaims, causing the crowd surrounding them to gasp. Cass starts walking faster in shame as the crowd of citizens starts throwing insults at the poor girl. Raps tries to catch up with her, but loses the girl after a few minutes.
Cassandras POV:
Shit. Shit. I knew this was a bad idea. I run towards the forest, since its the only place i know won't have people. Eventually, I run into a river and decide to stay there, throwing stones into the water. I mean, they have every reason to hate me! I tried to destroy a whole kingdom! And their princess! AND THEM! I should have never come here. "So. Fucking. Stupid." I mutter to myself while standing up and grabbing my sword from my waist. I look at myself in the blade's reflection. "Why am I like this?" All of a sudden, a bird flies across my vision, causing me to flinch and accidentally cut my hand with the sword. "Oh come on!" I glance at my hand, wincing in pain. Wow. That's a pretty deep cut...
"Cassandra!" I turn around to see Rapunzel running towards me. She abruptly stops in front of me, panting.
3rd POV:
"I've been looking for you everywhere- Ah! You're bleeding!"
"Oh, I-I'm fine. It'll be fine." Cass says in a neutral tone, though was still clutching her bleeding hand in pain, betraying her attempt to appear to be okay. Raps takes some bandages out of her decorated bag and starts wrapping Cassandra's hand despite her protests. The blood stained the white material red, though managed to stop the bleeding.
The two women sat at the edge of the river, trying to spark up conversation, though clearly something was different between them.
Raps nervously turns to Cassandra, "So...did you meet anyone while you were away?"
"Well, yeah. I met this girl who was studying plants, she was pretty nice."
"Huh. Are you...still in touch with her?"
"Eh. Not really."
Raps thinks for a second. Wait, why am I worrying about this? It's fine if she meets other people, so why am I jealous? She's just a friend. A very, very good friend. I mean, yeah I like her, but it's not LIKE like her- Argh! What is going on with me!?-"ᵣₐₚₛ? ᴿᴬᴾˢ? RAPUNZEL!" Cassandra tries to get the blonde girl's attention, who jumps and stutters trying to apologize.
"Wow there, are you okay? I was trying to ask you something."
"Sorry, I was just...thinking. What were you saying?"
"I wanted to ask you about Eugene."
"Oh. Well, things...happened. We're not really together anymore.", She admit. "I just didn't feel the same about him anymore. It kinda started back when you disappeared with the moonstone. Things just didn't feel right without...you." Cassandra blushed deeply at her words, though kept telling herself to not assume anything.

I'm too lazy to write arrrrgh if you guys have any ideas on how to transition scenes smoothly pls tell me i am drowing in schoolwork but i want to finish this really bad and idk where this story is even going)
