3.) First Day of Class

I woke up today to my alarm going off and Daya's blowdryer at full volume.

"Ugh I forgot how much I hated first days."

I got out of bed and decided that there was no way I was gonna survive my schedule of classes for 9 hours straight so I headed straight for the kitchen. Daya was walking back and forth blowdryer in hand while making a cup of coffee. "Girl what are you doing? you look stressed." I said and she turned off the blowdryer.

"It's my first day back in school I need to have a good impression from what happened last year." She said and picked up her coffee before spitting it back out in the sink. "Ulgh I forgot to add the milk and creamer." She said and pushed the cup into the sink.

"I heard the breakfast area has nice coffee." I said and Daya grabbed a cup of orange juice chugging it down waving her finger. "Don't let them lie to you." She said and placed the glass down. "Nobody makes better coffee than me." She said and went back into her room with me following behind her.

"Well you know I would like to visit the breakfast area before like class starts." I said picking out clothes from her closet and tossing her clothes. I picked out a black, white, and gray plaid dress for her with a white long sleeve top to go under it and some black pumps. She decided to tie her brown curly hair up in a ponytail with a black ribbon.

For me I decided on a green plaid skirt, white button up crop top, white stockings, and black Mary Jane platform heels with leg warmers over. "Daya can you do something to my hair it's starting to piss me off?" I asked and she sat me down on her bed. She ended up putting corn rolls on the front of my hair and leaving the rest out in an afro.

I looked at my phone and saw it was 8:14. Breakfast and study hall ended at 10:30 so we had time to play about. "Let's go! Early bird gets the pancakes!" Daya yelled and I rushed out the room.

We finally made it to the breakfast area around 9:40 because Daya wanted to stop and pick up her books after she "totally forgot them." Matthew, Kacey and Octavia called us over so we went and sat with them. Matthew and Kacey were arm wrestling while Octavia pretended she didn't know who they were.

"Hey Via." Daya said and sat down at the table. I just placed my bag down. "I'm gonna go see what they have to eat down here." I said and Kacey handed me her bowl. "Bring me back a bowl of fruit please?" She asked and I took the bowl before heading over to the fruit salad bar.

You could just imagine who I saw there.

"Ugh you are literally everywhere!" Geo said picking up mango slices and examining them carefully before placing them down in his bowl. "Yeah I know it's kind of like we go to the SAME SCHOOL." I responded and he scrunched his nose at me. "Pass me the hot sauce and a lime." He said and I begrudgingly did so.

"Not the one I wanted." He said and leaned over me grabbing the other hot sauce bottle. "You know you can just get things yourself." I offered and he looked back at me like he was ready to strangle me. "Or maybe if you weren't an imbecile you'd know that this is ketchup." He said pointing to the bottle I handed him and I felt my cheeks flush.

I decided to just pick up fruit and ignore him but he kept leaning over me to grab shit. "Uhm excuse me I don't know what you do at home but I have boundaries." I said and he scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. "Oh please you wouldn't even know boundaries if a dictionary hit you in the face." He said and I rolled my eyes and walked away to the pancake bar.

I decided to pick out chocolate chip pancakes with extra syrup when Jae came behind me. "Anna-Marie I'm so sorry please forgive me." He tried to beg but I walked away from him. I had enough dealing with lunatics for the entire day. I finally walked back to the table with Octavia and Daya grinning at me.

"What is wrong with you guys?" I asked and they giggled and whispered to each other before Daya spoke up. "We saw you with Geoooo~" she said giggling and I sat down and rolled my eyes. "It's nothing really." I said to Daya and handed Kacey her bowl of fruit. "Yeah sure we know you're in love with Geo you don't have to hide it." Octavia said poking me in the face.

"Oh please I'd rather kill myself." I said finishing my pancakes and grabbing my bag. "I took early classes so I'll catch up with you guys later." I said and started to leave.

"Okay children my name is Mr. Argenti and I keep my classrooms in order."

I was sitting down in class when Geo walked in holding a cup of coffee that he handed to Mr. Argenti and sat down in the only empty seat.

Which just happened to be right next to me.

I groaned loudly and put my face in my hands to which he scoffed and whispered. "Oh please you think I wanted this." I rolled my eyes and took out my book.

"Anyways I'll be talking about your first project of the quarter which is an entire essay, slideshow, visual presentation, and lesson that you teach to the class. You will be presenting these every few days and this will be your entire first quarter grades." Mr. Argenti explained writing down on the board.

I kind of zoned out on what else he said until he said..

"You will be working in groups so the people sitting next to you are your group partners."

I looked over at Geo who looked like he was ready to yell at the teacher but refrained from doing so.

"Great now I was completely stuck working on a project with him!"

After class I started to pack up my stuff to leave when Geo stopped me. "I have absolutely no intention of working at my dorm tonight because my friend is an idiot so I will just have to meet up at yours end of conversation." Then he walked away.

Ugh he was even more of a jerk than I imagined.

And now I had to put up with him for an entire quarter.

"This was gonna be the longest 1st quarter ever!"
