Sonic and Shadow parent problems..
idek the plot cause I just wanted to write, but to explain their parents since it's complicated, Black Doom is a mobian here and Gerald Robotnik.. Well, he's also mobian, and they're the same age both of them!! (Idc if that makes no sense.) So they're both hedgehogs, resembling their original color palette.
Sonics parents are Bernadette and Jules, simple. (Just ignore that Jules is a fucking robian.)
Now for plot cause I need to figure one out, ermmmmm. Right so it's parents problems, but not the normal ones like they don't like Shadow or whatever, but like more than that. This is so confusing just read thanks

To clear up some things Sonic has the same powers n shit he's just not a hero. Shadow's the same.. He's a normal civilian with a chaos emerald, live with it 🙏 They're 16.

3rd Person POV - Hedgehog Home (Sonic's House)
"Breakfast? Pancakes." Bernie turns her head to face her son walking into the kitchen.
"Hm? Yeah, sure. Thanks mom!" He quickly grabs a plate, his mom placing 4 pancakes onto it.
He walks over to the dining table, sitting down in his usual spot. He quickly eats his food, and walks up, yet again, up to his mother, to wash the plate.
"I'm heading off, seeya!" He smiles, and Bernie smiles right back. He then goes off to venture towards his school. Haha, who am I kidding?
He speeds right to school in a split second, landing right by his class' Hall-Entrance. He quickly scans the area, seeing multiple kids his age just chilling. He opens the door to the hall, only to be met with the same thing. It wasn't long till he heard a scream;
"OGILVIE MAURICE! OVER HERE!!" He turns around, shocked that he even did. That name, seriously?
"Tails.. Why are you using my real name??"
"Oh, sorry, Olgilvie, I was just looking through the year book from last year." Tails holds up a thick red book, displaying multiple pictures of different students. Under a picture of an annoyed Sonic, as such was stated;
Olgilvie Maurice T. Hedgehog
"Please don't use my real name for the book, please."
"TAILS!" Sonic launches towards the book, launching it towards the ground.
(Right, ages are messed up here, but you'll learn later.)
"HAHA! Geez, why so sensitive?"
"Fghrr.." Sonic grumbles, not finding a valid reason.
"Seriously, what's wrong with your real name?"
"Uh, seriously, what's not wrong?!"
"Okay, I get it. Ugly name."
"I find it cute!" Amy smiles innocently, and Sonic can't help but smile back.
"Thanks Amy, but no.. It's just not." He says awkwardly, eyeing her intensely. She just giggles, and shakes her head.
"At least your real name is cool.. Miles Prower. You should use it." Sonic says, turning back to Tails.
"Yeah-!, Wanna see my yearbook quote?"
Sonic looks down at the book, flipped to the page of last years 7th graders. An elegantly, but awkwardly posed fox with 2 fluffy tails covering 1,5/4 of the picture showed, with an elegantly matching name stated below;
Miles Prower
"Live to Learn."
"Oh.." Knuckles makes a disgusted face, but Tails doesn't notice, mostly due to having closed, proud eyes, but also because Knuckles stands behind a good crowd of people.
