"No matter the distance, our hearts are always connected."
Soon, the last day of their trip had arrived. The group was scattered around the local market, buying souvenirs to take back home. Amid the laughter and the bustle, Chloe suddenly pulled Jiah to the side, her expression serious.
"Jiah, I need to tell you something," Chloe began, glancing around to make sure no one else could hear. "Yura and Jeonghan had a big fight yesterday."
Jiah's eyes widened in surprise. "What happened?"
"I'm not sure about all the details, but it was pretty intense," Chloe replied. "Just thought you should know."
Later, as Jiah and Seungcheol were on the plane back to the US, Jiah decided to bring up the topic. "Cheol, Chloe told me that Yura and Jeonghan had a big fight yesterday."
Seungcheol sighed, leaning back in his seat. "I had a feeling something was off. They've been avoiding each other the whole trip."
Jiah nodded, feeling a pang of concern for her friends.
Time flew by, and soon enough, Jiah was immersed in her internship, diligently working toward her dream of becoming a criminal lawyer.
Meanwhile, Seungcheol had returned to Korea, balancing the demands of handling his father's business while completing his last year of his MBA.
Despite the distance and their busy schedules, they made time for each other, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. The challenges they faced only seemed to reinforce their commitment to one another, proving that their love could withstand anything.
One evening, as Jiah was wrapping up her work at the law firm, she received a video call from Seungcheol. His tired but smiling face appeared on her screen.
"Hey, Sleepyhead," she teased, using the nickname she had given him to tease him.
"Hey, Cherry. How was your day?" Seungcheol asked, his eyes lighting up at the sight of her.
"Busy, but fulfilling. How about you?"
"Same here. Just finished a meeting and thought I'd call you before heading to bed."
They talked for a while, sharing the highlights and challenges of their day. Despite the miles between them, they felt as close as ever, their hearts connected by the unwavering love they shared.
As they said their goodbyes, Jiah couldn't help but feel grateful for the man she had by her side. No matter where life took them, she knew they would always have each other.
"That was all that mattered."
