I sat there staring at her picture in the year book. Mika and I never really met each other. We had a few classes together, so I would just see her time to time. I remember over hearing her friends talk about her in class the few days she didn't show up, before she went missing. I remember them asking each other if they had heard or seen Mika recently, how it wasn't like her to miss a day of school, let alone three. But she never came back, and soon enough her missing person posters were all over the school, I still don't know what happened to her, and why she seems to be coming to me for help

I froze as I heard knocking on the front door, I slowly got up.
"ELI IF YOU DON'T OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW I WILL FREEZE TO DEATH!"
I let out a sigh of relief and, went to open the door
"Hey mom"-Eli
"You know it's rude to leave your mother waiting out in this weather"-Mom
"Yes I know, I'm sorry. I've just been busy."-Eli
"Oh my! What happened to your arm!?!?" -Mom
"Huh?"
"Oh wow.. I didn't even realize..."-Eli
"It looks like someone just dug their finger nails into you!"-Mom
"Have you been getting into trouble? tell me now!"-Mom
"No...look mom I'm fine, there's nothing to worry about."-Eli
"Then what happened to your arm!"
"AND YOU HAVE A CUT ON YOUR FACE!!"
"Eli you tell me right now what happened?" -Mom
"I just got cut up a bit on my run, I fell is all" -Eli
"You're a bad liar"
"Did someone do this to you?"-Mom
"No okay! I can't explain what happened! I barely know myself."-Eli
"Are you hearing things again Eli? Have you been taking your medication? Please I'm worried about you, you're not well!"-Mom
"See I knew you shouldn't be living alone, I told you to get a roommate at least! Anyone who is schizophrenic should at least be living with someone!"-Mom
"Mom I'm fine really"-Eli
"No you're not! I'm staying here tonight and you are going to see your doctor tomorrow"-Mom
"Fine then."-Eli
9am
"I'll drop you off to your appointment today let's go in my car"-Mom
"Okay I'll get ready, and meet you In the car." -Eli
I can't explain to her what's going on, she'll just tell me I'm crazy...but at this point I'm starting to believe that too. I'm going to get myself killed if I keep feeding into my delusion's..I better get going.
"Hey hun, I'm gonna have to make this quick, my work just called, I'll have to leave after I drop you off, here is some money for an Uber home since I won't be able to pick you up after"-Mom
"Okay thanks"-Eli
"I love your necklace by the way! where did you get that? Did a girl give you it? a girlfriend maybe?"-Mom
"Oh this? No um... just bought it."-Eli
"We'll it's a very nice locket"-Mom
"Thanks"-Eli
"I'm just trying to make conversation, you don't have to be so secretive with me you know. You can tell me things, now look I know you don't want to tell me what happened because of-" -Mom
"Why should I tell you anything? So you can tell me I'm crazy? I'm not well? So you can send me away again like when I was thirteen!" -Eli
"I did that because you needed help"-Mom
"What I needed was for you to listen and care."
"Well we're here, thanks for the ride."-Eli
"Eli you know I was only trying to help."-Mom
"I gotta go."-Eli
"Good morning Eli, it's good to see you again, I see your mother called saying you're not taking your medication?"-Dr. Solace
"Well she was just guessing...But no I haven't" -Eli
"Why is that?"-Dr. Solace
"I don't know, I just been busy and distracted with work, I forgot."-Eli
"Hmm, well if that's the case then you should set a reminder for yourself, on your phone or something"-Dr. Solace
"Have you been seeing or hearing things? I see you're cut up a bit, how did that happen?"-Dr. Solace
"Well yeah I guess I've been hearing the whispering and yelling, I guess some hallucinations."-Eli
"Hmm I see...And when you had an episode, did you harm yourself?"-Dr. Solace
"No I wouldn't do that."-Eli
"Did someone do that to you?"-Dr. Solace
"No I was just going for a jog and I fell into a thorn bush"-Eli
"Mhmm okay. Well I want you to start taking your medication again, and I will make a check up appointment, and see you in a week and we'll go from there"-Dr. Solace
Guess I better call an Uber...ah shit my phone is dead, I'm just gonna walk home it's not far anyway.
