your pov:Your school trip had finally began! You had managed to get a seat on the bus next to Saiki. Unfortunately, he took the window seat. Kaidou and Nendou were sitting in front of you. Well, Kaidou was sitting. Nendou was standing and leaning up against the window. It's a miracle he hasn't fallen yet. You were leaning forward slightly, looking past Saiki and out the window. You were really looking forward to going to the beach, and the view of the water made you smile slightly. It seemed Saiki had noticed your interest of the view. He quickly stood up and walked into the isle of the bus but didn't move. You looked over to him questioning his actions.
"Move over."
You were shocked, but quickly scooted yourself over into the window seat. He sat back down next to you and continued to stare straight forward. You weren't sure if you were more surprised that he offered you his seat or that he spoke. Nonetheless, you were grateful for it. You returned your focus to the view beside you. Now that you were here, you were a lot more excited than you thought you'd be. You smiled to yourself imagining what you'd see in the next three days. You turned to Saiki only to find him already staring at you. His eyes widened slightly, so slightly you'd miss it if you weren't staring directly into them. He calmly turned his head to face forward again. You continued to stare at him, analyzing his face, until he turned his head back to you.
"Thank you" you said with a soft smile.
The expression on his face was completely unreadable. The normal, stern look on his face had faltered. His expression was softer and his eyes bore into yours. This was the first time you had ever felt overwhelmed by his presence. You turned back to the window and tried focusing on anything other than him. The newfound feeling you felt while the two of you stared at each other was not normal. The last thing you wanted was to be stressed out on this trip, let alone stressed about on of your friends. You weren't oblivious or blind, you were very aware of what might be happening. But as of now, your focus was on the school trip, not your obsession turned "itsy bitsy tiny little possible crush" you may or may not have on your friend. You ended up spending the rest of the ride staring out the window, trying to calm your nerves.
"Alright everybody, time for lunch."
You sat between Saiki and Chiyo at a soba restaurant. You tried to sit near the wall and away from Saiki so you could calm your nerves. Somehow, you managed to sit yourself right next to him. You weren't gonna act all weird around him or make your friendship uncomfortable, but you would've liked to be able to calm down for a while longer. The soba was good but it was ruined by Kaidou constantly using random dialect phrases. Apparently while you were in the bus Teruhashi praised his knowledge and now he won't stop.
After eating your classmates started to disperse and split off into their own groups. You looked around but saw no sign of the two people you were paired with. Teruhashi, Chiyo, Mera, Nendou, Kaidou, and Saiki had already walked off to wander around the city. You knew you were complaining about wanting to have more time to calm down earlier but being left alone in an unfamiliar city was not what you wanted. The being alone part wasn't what bothered you, it was that you literally had no clue where you were. You decided your best bet was to head to the hotel you knew you were staying at and just look at things along the way. The hotel was relatively close and you were sort of glad you ended up walking alone. The temporary peace was a nice change and it did end up making you calmer. Soon, the rest of your classmates arrived to the hotel.
"Dinner is at six o'clock in the first-floor dining hall. Each class has 20 minutes to take a batt. After that we'll have free time but you're not to leave the hotel."
You were the first one in your shared room so you weren't sure who you shared it with. Honestly you didn't care about who you shares it with as long as they weren't going to wake you up while you were asleep. You headed down to the dining hall and sat at a random table. You ate your food while watching your classmates mess around on stage. You hadn't realized that you had basically been alone since you got to Okinawa, nor did you care. You also failed to realize the fact that a certain pink-haired friend of yours had been glancing in your direction throughout dinner. As soon as you finished dinner you left towards the baths. You wanted to make sure you were the only person in there, as you heard a few people planned on peeking into the girls area. You obviously wanted nothing to do with that, so you made sure no one was in either baths while you bathed.
After bathing, and redressing yourself, you immediately head to leave the hotel. You were very aware of the rule that confined you in the hotel, clearly, you didn't care. No one was downstairs at this time so slipping outside was easy. You walked towards the shore where the hotel was placed behind. When you reached the sand you slipped off your shoes and sank your feet into the slightly warm sand. Earlier was enough to calm your nerves but this really put you at peace. A shame you couldn't get in the water, you didn't want to risk getting wet and being caught. So, you settled for sitting at one of the beach chairs that was facing the ocean. You watched as the waves crashed over the shore and the tide close the distance between you and the water. Your restraint was diminished and you finally decided putting your feet in the water for a couple of minutes wouldn't hurt. You swung your legs over so you were sitting sideways in the beach chair and prepared to stand up. Until you saw someone, quite literally, appear out of thin air, right in front of you.
