I decided to name Kicken when he was human Kai, cuz why not :3 though I decided to give him a lil nickname which is Chase since my friend suggested that but as his actual name :D
This also takes place when Kai/Kicken was 7 so he isn't a jerk here

Kai carefully lined the pencil against the paper before drawing the last detail
"And done!" He proudly said
Putting his pencil down, he took the drawing he just finished and ran outside of his room
He drew a picture of Ma
'Maybe she'll pay attention to me then!' Kai thought as he ran through the hall then stopped when he reach a certain door
Mary's office
Dad would call the room that but Kai calls it Ma's room, Ma was always in there for work or for whatever reason and sometimes she would even nap or sleep in that room, Kai never understood why Ma was always in that room
"She's working so we can have the stuff we have" Kai remembered, Dad would say that or something similar
But Dad would work too, why isn't he always busy like Ma?
Kai shook the thoughts away as he then looked at the closed door in front of him, he raised his arm up to knock on it twice and waited for a little
No answer
He knocked again and waited longer, maybe Ma is just finishing something up before going to the door
30 minutes
Still no answer
"Ma?" Kai called, hoping Ma would finally notice his patience
"Patience is the key" Dad would say to Kai whenever they made something that involved patience
Kai remembered when Ma agreed with Dad, it was only a simple word and nod but that meant she liked patience
That's what she meant right? Kai just shrugged and waited
No answer still...
Kai was about to knock again when he heard faint keyboard typing, he always heard that from Ma's room if it was quiet enough which was usually when Dad slept
Kai knocked again but a little harder so it would be louder and Ma would hear it
"I'm busy" Ma said behind the door
Kai sighed as he lowered his head a bit "busy again.." He said quietly and stood there for awhile before walking away sadly from the room
