The air hung heavy with the scent of disinfectant and wet fur as Hoseok slipped into Jimin's pet shelter.
His heart hammered against his ribs, a frantic bird trapped in a cage.
Every nerve in his body screamed at him to turn back, to obey Yoongi's warning and stay at Home and not to go out.
But the need to know, to reclaim the lost fragments of his past, was stronger than his fear.
After all he wanted to know about the lost piece of himself!!!
"Jimin!!", Hoseok called out, his voice a desperate whisper.
Park Jimin, A whirlwind of warm energy and comforting scent of lavender, appeared from a back room, a fluffy white kitten clutched in his arms.
His eyes widened, concern etching deep lines on his face. "Hoseok!!! Oh my god!! What happened to your hand ??!! What are you doing here? Did that fucking piece of shit did this to you??!!"
"He...he hurted me," Hoseok couldn't help but choked out, tears stinging his eyes.
" I couldn't stay there anymore. I need to know what happened, Jimin. Please!! help me find out about my past"
Jimin's expression softened, a wave of understanding washing over him. "Of course, Hoseok. I wouldn't let anything happen to you."
He gently placed the kitten down and pulled Hoseok into a reassuring hug. ' "We'll figure this out together. One step at a time."
The comforting weight of Jimin's arms, the gentle rhythm of his heartbeat, calmed the storm within Hoseok.
He had a friend, someone who would help him unravel the tangled threads of his memory and escape the suffocating grip of his past.
As they sat amidst the soft meows and playful barks, Hoseok knew this wasn’t the end of his journey.
It was merely the beginning of a quest for truth, a quest that would lead him to the fragments of his forgotten past and, perhaps, the love he may or may not have lost.
He just needed to be brave enough to keep searching, even if it meant facing the darkness that lurked in the shadows.
They both calmed down and soon enough Hoseok was back in his sunshine self. Jimin still wonders How can he endure all of this and still be like the fresh ray of sunlight.
He couldn't help but smiled and started completing his work so that they can help Hoseok to get to know what he wanted.
Hoseok bounced on the balls of his feet, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "Jimin, you won't believe what happened to the shop last night!! Who came!!!!"
