A A R A V
After hours of redoing the work my dear mother destroyed just because I didn't give attention to her for 3 hours, I finally got out of my office room to freshen up and check some pending emails, then i will play golf for quite some time since I'm home today.
Well why am I home? That's because according to my mother ‘you should take a day off beta it was your engagement yesterday and all you will do today is sit in your office and be grumpy’ like seriously? sit and be grumpy???
My dear mother takes the full advantage of being the only person I ever listen to.
I sighed while walking towards my room when I heard some deafening sound. Oh great! It's Aarohi again! I told her not to play music so loudly it annoys me, one of the main reasons why I never really went to parties during my teenage days or even after that. This sound is not only destroying my sanity but also her eardrums.
This girl!
My jaw clenched at the deafening sound of the music before making my way towards her room.
“And please please please don't bring me to tears when I just did my make-up so nice..”
I heard her faint voice mixing with the music. What song is all about tears and make-up?
“Heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another, I beg you don't embarrass me” I opened the door of her room “you motherfucker oooohhhhhhh”
I paused the music player but she was still singing; her position was one of those passionate concert singers– kneeling, holding a- what is that? I narrowed my eyes at the thing she was holding.
Wait– Is that a dal ghotni ?? The same thing that Mary aunty uses in the kitchen? The fuck she's doing with that?!
[Dal ghotni: lentil knee] A/N; I maybe wrong about this, correct me if I'm wrong.
“Bhaiya?” She got up from her singing position, passing me a confused room while I crossed my arm near my chest clearly pissed.
Passing her a sharp look I asked, “How many times did I tell you not to play music so loudly? Yet here you are!”
“Bhaiyaaaaa” she looked at me with her puppy eyes thinking that– that's going to stop me from scolding her. But guess what? It's working. It works every time. She takes the full advantage of being the first and only girl child of our lineage.
“I was just testing this music player, it's new, see” she spoke, pointing towards the music player which I just paused “And why are you here.. I mean–office?” she asked, raising both her eyebrows.
“Mummy insisted on taking a day off” her lips formed an ‘o’, nodded understanding “I know well my dear sister you were playing the music so loud thinking I am not home, ha?” I asked, faking a stern voice.
