Chapter 1 1. Start by picking radishes when you first arrive
On a sunny morning in April 1978, Qiao Zhenzhen was busy in the kitchen, humming an unknown tune.
Her slender jade fingers danced quickly on the chopping board, and the scallions flew. She grabbed a handful and sprinkled it on the freshly cooked noodles. The clear and shiny noodle soup was matched with the green scallions, the chewy noodles, and the golden eggs fried on both sides. It was perfect in color, aroma and taste.
Take a sip, it's so fragrant that you want to swallow it.
The two little people standing at the door of the kitchen had been attracted by the fragrance. They lay on the door frame, swallowing their saliva, staring at the noodles on the stove without blinking.
However, no matter how greedy they were, they didn't dare to run up rashly, fearing to be beaten, especially when their father was not around. They would never dare to anger the woman in front of them, even though she was their mother.
Although their mother had never beaten them in the past month, the residual power of the past was still there, so they still didn't dare to act rashly.
Qiao Zhenzhen had seen the brothers a long time ago. She brought the noodles to the small wooden table next to her and shouted, "What are you doing? Come and eat quickly."
Hearing the order, the brothers' eyes lit up, and they quickly ran into the kitchen, sat down next to the wooden table, and took the chopsticks to prepare to eat.
"Have you washed your hands?" Qiao Zhenzhen picked up her bowl of noodles and asked casually.
The slightly taller child immediately replied, "It's washed, Mom, Xiaobao and I are listening to you."
The children beside him nodded vigorously, fearing that Qiao Zhenzhen would not let them eat.
"Then eat."
The child immediately buried his head and ate with big mouthfuls, fearing that it would be gone if he was late.
"Slow down, no one is competing with you." Qiao Zhenzhen kindly reminded.
Seeing this, the child immediately slowed down, but picked up more noodles with a chopstick and stuffed them into his mouth, and opened his mouth wide, chewing like two greedy little squirrels, looking particularly cute.
Qiao Zhenzhen smiled, looking at the two cheap sons in front of her, she was also very happy, and she was in a much better mood than when she first came.
A month ago, Qiao Baozhen died suddenly at her workplace after working overtime for three consecutive nights. When she opened her eyes again, she became Qiao Zhenzhen of the Red Flag Brigade, a typical country woman in the 1970s when people were short of food and clothing.
From the older generation, we learned that it was a hard time to buy things with tickets and go out with letters of introduction. Being able to eat well and not be hungry was the strongest wish in everyone's heart.
In such an era, the existence of the original owner Qiao Zhenzhen can be said to be a wonder.
She relied on her father's title as the leader of the production team, and she was the youngest and only girl in the Qiao family. She was not only spoiled at home, but also domineering in the village.
Qiao Zhenzhen had nine brothers, including cousins, brothers, and so on. If anyone provoked her in the village, the nine brothers would rush up and beat the other person to a pulp.
Therefore, Qiao Zhenzhen was a bully in the village since she was a child. No one dared to provoke her. Wherever she went, she was like a dragon crossing the river, with domineering aura.
