Part 2

CHAPTER TWO

"Hi, Ian." I smiled back. "Um, kunin ko na yung paper bag." I was about to leave but I suddenly remembered na I invited him here as meet up and to see Cholo and Dave. It would be awkward if iiwan ko nalang s'ya after giving the t-shirt.

The vibe was different from the second time we met. He was more friendly now. Baka, pagod s'ya non.

"Let's have a dinner?" Pag-aaya ko.

He looked surprised pero he nodded after silently thinking about it.

"Hindi ba magiging awkward 'to?" He asked.

Napaisip ako saglit, I imagined our table pag dinala ko s'ya doon ng biglaan, I won't blame them if they give us the looks, since dinner yon between us friends, tas mag-aaya ako ng plus one without informing. Though, I can give it a good push naman since I know them, they're not that shallow. Except kay Cholo.

I smiled at him assuringly. "'Di yan! Ako bahala."

"Pero magmumuka akong boyfriend mo or something." I chuckled at his thoughts.

"Why not?" I joked.

After noticing his no reaction, I immediately realized what I said. "Joke! Joke lang yon." I said holding my hands up leveled to my shoulder while looking at him. Kasi naman! magjo-joke pa sa hindi mo kilala!

"Haha.. Umasa pa ako." I heard him muttered. I immediately looked at him and he looked at other direction avoiding my eyes.

What? I'm confused. Umasa na ano? Umasa na maging boyfriend ko s'ya? Kidding ba s'ya? I just met him! I frowned at my thoughts and I chose not to dwell on that, I needed a comfortable atmosphere for me to socialize well.

Pumunta muna kami sa takoyaki stall and I ordered 12 pieces, then went back to our seat.

The group looked at me with the question in their eyes na 'Sino yan?' Except for Cholo and Dave. Cholo has a frown on his face and Dave has this excited look. 

"Guys, this is Ian, the guy that I told you guys about." Pagpapakilala ko.

"Oh my gosh." Vyra covered her face with her hands because of embarrassment and all of them laughed, except for Maggy, totally puzzled.

"Pre, long time no see!" Dave dabbed him. They both smiled at each other and Dave took my part of introducing him to everybody. I sat beside Ara and nagstart na kumain ng takoyaki. Hinampas naman ni Maggy si Vyra, atat malaman anong nangyare because of her reaction.

But may isa akong napapansin. Why is Cholo so quiet? He played his food most of the time and paunti-onti s'ya sumusubo. I looked at Ara who seemed to noticed my stare kay Cholo. Binigyan n'ya ako ng 'Don't mind him' look, and continued to join the conversation.

"Fun night, masaya kasama yang si Ian ha." Ara said lying on her bed.

I bit my lower lip and picked up my phone. I was about to chat him but he sent me a message instead.

I instantly smiled because of that. Pero I still wondered, bakit iba ihip ng hangin ni Cholo kanina? He's really making me curious. Also, hindi rin n'ya pinansin ang accidental confession ko nung isang araw sa beach!
