The next day we rode in London Underground, "First-year students will require, three sets of plain work robes, one wand.." Harry and I looked up at Hagrid, "Essential bit of equipment." Hagrid said. "One pair of dragon hide gloves." Harry paused again, "Hagrid do they mean from a real Dragon?" I asked, "Well they don't mean a penguin, do they?...Blimey, I'd love a dragon." "You'd like a dragon?" I asked, "Vastly misunderstood beasts. Celeste, Vastly misunderstood."
We were now walking the streets of London, we were getting our school supplies. Harry continued to read the list of everything we needed, I was very confused. Where on earth are we supposed to get a pet like a toad in London?
"Can we find all this in London?" Harry asked as if he had been reading my mind. "If you know where to go." Hagrid replied, we walked into a dark pub and everyone froze. People shushed as me and Harry entered the building. Everyone was quiet until a women called out "Its Harry and Celeste Potter!!"
Everyone began talking again, rushing towards us, shaking our hands. "Thank you, oh bless you two for stopping He-who-must-not-be-named! Thank you!" "It's terrible what happened to your parents, they were such lovely people" "You'll grow up to be an amazing witch and an amazing wizard, just like your parents!" Who on earth was he-who-must-not-be-named?
"All right, we've got to get through!" Hagrid yelled over all the ruckus, still as we walked, people introduced themselves and kept thanking us for something we had no clue of. "The P-Potters. C-cant tell you how pleased I am to meet you two" Stuttered a man, "Hello, professor. I didn't see you there! Harry, Celeste, this is Professor Quirrell. He'll be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher"
"Oh! Hello, nice to meet you!" I exclaimed putting my hand out, Harry doing the same. He didn't shake our hand though, a bit rude if you ask me. "F-fearfully fascinating subject. N-not that you need it though, eh, Potters?" I gave him an odd look but kept a smile on my face trying not to be disrespectful towards a teacher, but it was as if he was scared of us.
"Yes, well, must be going now. Lots to buy!" Hagrid chuckled, "Good-bye!" Harry spoke "Yes, goodbye. See you at Hogwarts professor." I replied.
"See! You two are famous."
"But why are we famous, Hagrid?" Harry asked, "Yeah, all those people back there, how is it they know who we are?" I questioned "Im not sure I'm exactly the right person to tell you that." Hagrid said as he tapped a brick wall with his umbrella. All of a sudden the wall started to shift, Harry and I looked up in shock, "Welcome, to Diagon Alley!" It was like a whole other universe, it was breath taking, Hagrid told us which shop was which and what supplies we could get from them. "Hagrid, how are we suppose to pay for all of this? We haven't got any money?" Harry asked. "Well, look! Theres your money, Gringotts, the wizard bank 'T'aint no safer place. Not one.' Except, perhaps Hogwarts" Hagrid said pointing to the bank.
As we walked in, I scooted a lot closer to Harry, grabbing a hold of his arm. "Those things frighten me, what are they?" I whispered. "Um, Hagrid, what exactly are these things? Harry asked for me. "They're goblins. Clever as they come, goblins but not the most friendly of beasts. Best stay close." Hagrid walked up to the front, clearing his throat to get the goblins attention. "Mr. Harry Potter and Miss. Celeste Potter wish to make a withdrawal." The goblin got up from his desk looking over at us, "And do the Potters have their keys?"
"Oh, wait a minute. Got it in here somewhere. Ha! Theres the little devil." Hagrid put the key on the desk before lowering his voice, "Theres something else as well, Professor Dumbledore gave me this." He handed the goblin a letter before continuing, "Its about you-know-what in vault you-know-which."
We rode in a cart to our vault, once the goblin opened the vault I gasped in shock to see how much Galleons were in there. "Didn't think your mum and dad would leave you two with nothin', now did you?"

We had finally gotten our supplies. "Hagrid, we still need...our wands." Hagrid pointed to a shop, "Well, you want Ollivander's. There ain't no place better. Why don't you two run along there and wait? Ive got just one more thing I got to do, I wont be long." Harry and I entered the shop but no one was there, "Hello? Hello?" Harry called out, finally an old man came out "I wondered when i'd be seeing you, Potters. It seems only yesterday that your mother and father were in here buying their first wands"
"Ill start with you Mr. Potter, here we are" He handed Harry a wand, after breaking a vase, making wands fly out, Harry finally got his wand on the third try. He had given Harry a wand made of holly and phoenix feather core.
"Now for you, Miss Potter" The first four wands didn't work out, he's going to be needing more ink bottles, a new lamp, organize his wands, and he put out a small fire. He gave me a new wand and it glowed the moment my hands were on it. He had given me a wand made of ebony, the same core as Harrys, and it was 11 inches.
"Curious, very curious indeed." He muttered, looking amazed yet quite confused. "Excuse me, sir. But whats curious?" Harry asked. "I remember ever wand I've ever sold. It just so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather that is in both your wands are the same. But, it gave another feather, the feather is in a wand, thirteen and a half inches. The same wand that gave both of you that scar. The wands choose the wizards, Mr. and Miss Potter. Be careful of how you use your wands. He-who-must-not-be-named abused the power of his wand. Do not do the same." He was interrupted by a knock on the window.
We saw Hagrid holding up a 2 cages, one with a beautiful snowy owl and other with a white barn owl. "Happy Birthday!!" He grinned.
Later we were back in the Leaky Cauldron, we sat eating soup. Everything was quiet, Hagrid noticed this. "You all right Celeste? Harry? You seem very quiet." He asked. "He killed our parents, didn't he?" I asked, Harry continued for me. "The one who gave us these. You know Hagrid, we know you do."
"Listen to me carefully and understand this. Not all wizards are good. Some go bad, a few years ago there was a wizard who went as bad as you can go. His name was V-....His name was V-" He stutters, "maybe you can write it down?" Harry suggest. "No, I cant spell it. His name was..Voldemort."
"Voldemort?" We ask, "Shh. It was a dark time. Voldemort started to gather some followers, brought 'em over to the dark side. Anyone that stood up to him ended up dead. Your parents fought against him, but no one lived once he decided to kill 'em. Nobody, not one. 'Cept you two" A grown man tried to kill two babies how lovely.
"Us? Voldemort tried to kill..us?" Harry asked. "Yes. That ain't no ordinary cut on your foreheads. A mark like that only comes from being touched by a curse, an evil curse at that." I shrunk in my seat, "What happened to Vol-you-know who?" I ask. "Some say he died. Codswallop in my opinion, I reckon he's out there still, too tired to carry on. But one things absolutely certain. Something about you two stumped him that night. Thats why yer famous. Thats why everyone knows your name. You're the Twins who lived"
Great an evil wizard who tried to kill us is still out there. That's wonderful.
