"I'm sorry for what happened to grandma, Keen," a boy expressed his condolences to his friend, who stood before him with a backpack slung over his shoulders.

"It's okay, P'sea. It's not your fault," Keen reassured him, his voice filled with understanding and empathy.

"Do you really need to leave... Now?" Sea's voice held a hint of reluctance as he gazed towards the car parked not far from them. The scene unfolded before them, with a flurry of activity as boxes of luggage were loaded into the car. Keen's mother stood nearby, engrossed in a phone conversation that added a layer of urgency to the moment.

"Yes, P'sea. Don't worry, I'll come back next year!" Keen's assurance cut through the air. "Promise?" Sea extended his pinky finger towards Keen, a gesture symbolizing their unbreakable bond and the commitment to meet again. Without hesitation, Keen intertwined his pinky finger with Sea, sealing their promise with a silent vow that resonated between them.

"Then I'll tell you my wish next year when you come back," Sea declared, a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes. The prospect of sharing his wish with Keen upon his return.

"Okay, P'sea!" Keen's response was filled with warmth and understanding. However, the call of his mother interrupted the moment, signaling that it was time for Keen to depart.

"Goodbye, P'sea! I really need to leave. Like right now," Keen's words were tinged with a sense of urgency as he prepared to bid his final farewells.

"Can I hug you?" Sea's request was a plea for a final embrace, a moment of connection before Keen's departure. Without a word, Keen responded by enveloping Sea in a heartfelt hug, his arms offering comfort and reassurance in the face of their impending goodbye.

"Goodbye, N'Keen," P'sea whispered as they parted from the embrace, the weight of the moment palpable in the air. They shared a moment of silence before Keen headed towards the car, the promise of their reunion echoing in the air. "See you next year!"

The heavy rain continued to pour outside the house, its relentless rhythm creating a soothing backdrop to the fog that enveloped every corner of Nakhon Pathom. The view outside remained obscured, the mist lending an air of mystery and tranquility to the surroundings.

Amidst the ambient sounds of rain, a gentle melody emanated from a phone resting on the table, filling the room with a sense of serenity. A girl diligently wiped down the wet floor, her movements purposeful and efficient, while a boy in the kitchen prepared a warm soup that infused the air with a tantalizing aroma, enveloping the space in a cozy embrace.

As the girl finished cleaning the floor, she proceeded to set the table, arranging bowls and cups in anticipation of a shared meal for the four of them. The prospect of a comforting meal in the cold and rainy weather added a sense of warmth and togetherness to the atmosphere, fostering a feeling of camaraderie and hospitality.

In the midst of this domestic scene, two new arrivals made their entrance. A boy clad in a black T-shirt and pants, paired with slippers, was followed by another boy in a red sweater and black pants, also wearing slippers. The contrast in their attire added a touch of individuality to their presence in the room.

"Thank you for letting us take a shower and borrow your clothes," the boy in the red sweater expressed his gratitude, bowing respectfully to their hosts. His companion followed suit, acknowledging the kindness extended to them in their time of need.
