Two boys, Aun and Ashi, shared a seat on the couch, while a girl sat on the other couch, casting a side-eye glance at the boys. The tension in the room was palpable as they awaited the arrival of their friend, Sea, who had put the sleeping boy, Keen, in the bedroom.

"Sea!" Milk exclaimed, breaking her side-eye gaze and directing her attention to Sea as he walked into the room. Ashi, curious about Keen's whereabouts, turned his gaze towards Sea, who settled onto the couch.
"What happened to Keen?" Ashi inquired, his eyes fixed on Sea, awaiting an explanation. Sea took a seat and began to recount the events of the previous night.

"The two of us couldn't sleep last night. Keen was drinking tea while I had coffee. I showed him the lotus pond, and we ended up falling asleep there. I brought him back here because he's still sleeping," Sea explained, his voice laced with a hint of exhaustion. Milk, who had been observing the interaction, coughed abruptly, drawing the attention of Ashi and Aun. Concerned, Ashi moved towards Milk to check on her, while Aun's sudden cough caught Ashi's eye.

As the tension in the room mounted, Sea cut through the silence, addressing Aun directly. "Okay, enough pretending. Why are you here, Aun?" Sea's question hung in the air, prompting Aun to explain his presence.
"You called me to deliver paints, remember?" Aun replied, his gaze fixed on Sea. Milk continued to cast a side-eye glance, her knowing expression not escaping Sea's notice.

Sea, in a monotone voice, acknowledged the forgotten task. "Oh, right. I completely forgot about that." The revelation of the paint delivery sparked Ashi's curiosity.
"Deliver paints? And Aun knows you, Sea?" Ashi interjected, seeking clarification.
"I have a business making and delivering paints. Sea is one of my clients," Aun explained, casting a glance at Ashi, who nodded in understanding.

Sea, breaking the tension, gestured for Ashi to take his seat. "You can sit now, Ashi," Sea said, pointing to where Ashi had previously been seated. With Sea's departure to prepare breakfast, Ashi settled back into his seat, the room filled with an awkward tension.

Milk's gaze shifted to Aun, her eyes narrowing with a hint of suspicion. As Ashi settled beside Aun, he couldn't help but notice Milk's change in demeanor.

"Why is your eyes like that?" Ashi inquired, his curiosity piqued as he observed Milk's sudden shift in behavior. Her eyes returned to normal as she redirected her attention to Ashi.

"Aren't you going to tell me why you hugged Aun a while ago?" Milk's question hung in the air, prompting Ashi to offer an explanation.
"Ahh! That- Aun is my best friend. We lost contact a year ago," Ashi revealed, his words causing Aun's heart to race. Memories of the past resurfaced in Aun's mind, the weight of his unspoken confession lingering between them. What would Ashi say in response?

"Oh. That explains the hug," Milk remarked, crossing her legs casually. "You missed Aun so much that you had to hug him," she continued, her tone teasing.

"Milk, what are you trying to say?" Aun interjected, his gaze fixed on her. Milk's knowing expression hinted at her playful yet perceptive nature.
"Nothing, it's just what I saw," Milk replied, her gaze meeting Aun's with a look he knows too well. Aun recognized the look in her eyes. "Okay, I have to stop you here before you even think and say something," Aun asserted, pointing a finger at Milk. "Ashi is my friend, my best friend. Get that? Only a best friend. So stop having those thoughts again," Aun clarified, his tone firm yet gentle.

"Okay. Whatever you say," Milk responded, her voice tinged with a hint of mockery. The tension in the room was palpable as Ashi looked confused, prompting Aun and Ashi to lock eyes in a moment of silent communication.
