“Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.”

— Albus Dumbledore

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

From the day we were brought into this world, we were told that we’d be someone when the time came. We were told by them that we were special. We’re different. A higher being belonging somewhere far higher than the world that stands beneath my feet right now.

I was no different from how those children were treated. As blood is thicker than water. It is what binds me to where I cannot escape from. And yet I am here, taking in the refreshing scent of freedom and hope. Relief overtakes my soul and what was once fear in my system was filled to the brim with hope, excitement, and a sense of freedom. With the newfound opportunity, I get to find who I am and what I want. And nobody can say otherwise…

April had just begun, which meant that schools here in Japan had started. A dark yet comforting shadow loomed over me. Its presence towered over everyone who passed by. Yet no one was afraid of its intimidating aura. Instead, they felt invigorated by its presence.

Or maybe it was just me who had felt this way about this historical place. I stood straight and confident in front of the well-known and well-respected school. Eyes glistened in excitement, trying to roam everywhere and anywhere that managed to reach its line of sight.

“This is it.” I muttered to no one in particular, gripping the straps of my bag even tighter in nervousness. “This is my future.” I declared a fire burned into my eyes that were still yet to die out from the sea of humans surrounding me at an alarming speed.

There should be no wonder why students were coming in at an alarming rate. In around 10 minutes or so, classes would begin. And it’s not like anyone would want to be late on their first day of school. I decided it wasn’t worth it to be caught in the harsh sea of humans rushing to get to classes.

I quickened my pace and followed everyone else's movements, hurrying my way toward my assigned classroom. Grasping the map of the school that came with the acceptance letter. It wasn’t a really big map nor a complicated one. It was as small as a cute index card as what humans call it. The walkway towards the school was pretty long, giving the students and staff a good time to look over at the trees that surround the school’s premises. It was relaxing, to say the least.

The school’s actual building had 4 towers consisting mostly of windows so you could see and admire the soon-to-be heroes. There were skyway bridges that connected the 4 buildings together, making it look like an ‘H’. The school was practically shiny, new, and modern.

Not as though it hasn't been standing for decades now, home to the world’s greatest pro heroes and sidekicks out there (Or maybe they had undergone some renovations to the school after time degraded the old building). In fact, the number 1 hero of Japan at least, All Might, had graduated from here in the exact class I was put in or at least that’s what I heard.
