Another night dwelled over the circus tent, the moon smiling upon the grounds, the lush digital breeze grazing over the virtual fibres of grass...

The circus was dimly lit, giving Pomni a break from all the bright and overwhelming colours surrounding her vision. She stretches her arms as she sluggishly waltzed her way to her room, ready to end off another exhausting day in her new home.

That is, until she heard a piano.
A piano coming from Ragatha's room.

She stops in her tracks for a moment, looking back over to Ragatha's room, and smiling to herself.

"There she goes again..." Pomni says, rolling her eyes, though not with annoyance, more so... endearment.
Ragatha plays songs on her piano at night sometimes, but has been doing it a lot more frequently since Pomni's arrival. She'll sing her little dolly heart out with whatever melody she plays that night.

As of late, Pomni would sit outside Ragatha's door and listen to her singing, something about Ragatha's voice just made her heart swell. The ragdoll remained unaware of this new tradition she and Pomni had, she would sing up a tune and Pomni would be her secret audience.

Pomni sneaks over to Ragatha's door and sits down, gently resting her back on the door without making any noise, and listens closely.

"... I'm just a ragdollyyyyyy... happy and smiling all day! A little ragdollyyyyyy... wishing your worries away! I stop and say, "Gollyyyy! This is too good to be true!" A little ragdolly, plain as can be! Has a friend who's as lovely as you!~"

Pomni silently chuckled,
"Of course she'd sing that." She thought. It's such a Ragatha song.

She hears the sound of sheet music rustling, and then a sigh from Ragatha.

"No... too sad, too mushy... too... not family friendly. Ugh! None of these fit how I'm feeling!"

Pomni's face turns to confusion. Is Ragatha okay?

An agitated groan leaves Ragatha's mouth, and then a loud, out of tune THUNK can be heard. Ragatha face planting into the piano in frustration, noisy enough to be heard through the whole hallway.

"... should I check in on her?" Pomni thought. Just as she was about to knock, Ragatha speaks up again.

"... No, you know what? Why do I gotta restrict myself to a piece of paper? If I could improvise my own melody during that musical adventure we had, what's stopping me from just making my own song?"

Ragatha composes herself, looking at the piano keys laid out in front of her.
She pokes the keys one by one, trying to come up with a tune.

Pomni sits intently. Listening in on Ragatha's thought process.

After a few minutes, Ragatha starts playing a melody.
It's soft, upbeat, but not too fast paced.

She continues playing the piano for a minute, but then starts mumbling, trying to come up with lyrics... until she finally sang her heart out.

"Somehow every morning, I get lost in those eyes...
Crimson, gold and indigo just seems to fill my mind!
Jingling of bells, just makes my heart swell!
Figured that my heart might stop at the end of the niiiiiiiiiight~"

As Pomni keeps listening, pressing the side of her head up to the door, she wondered something...

Is Ragatha singing about her?

"'CUZ! I'm her dolly, she's my darling!
The perfect digital romance if she'll give me the chance!
The jester's quite exciting,
She made the dolly swoon!
This hallucination with new sensations
Will send me to the mooooooon!~
Ba bah dum... send me to the moon..."

...
Pomni's face felt warm, and fuzzy...
Was she blushing??
Ragatha made a love song... about HER??

Ragatha continues on with the instrumental, unaware of the flustered mess waiting for her outside her room.

Without thinking straight, Pomni ever-so-silently creaks open Ragatha's door, but only by just a crack.

She's never seen Ragatha so focused, it was... beautiful.

But not even ten seconds later, Pomni doesn't realise she's standing, leaning onto the door and losing her balance. She accidentally tumbles over as the door swings open, startling Ragatha out of her love song, and looking behind her.

"P-Pomni??? Are you okay?!" She yelped, rushing over to the jester.

"Yeah, I'm okay, sorry..." Pomni replied.
She got up and dusted herself off, her blush still painting her cheeks a bright hot pink.

Ragatha comes to a realisation and rubs her arm.
"... how much of that did you hear?" She asked.

"... I heard all of it." Pomni answered, scratching the back of her head.

Ragatha hides her face in her hands.
"Ohhhh god ohhh no oh man... you weren't supposed to hear any of that! It's so stupid and mushy and... and..."

"Beautiful..."

Ragatha lowers her hands slightly.

"... I think the song was beautiful."
Pomni stated, with a genuine smile on her face,
"I didn't know you felt that way about me. So much so to even put it into song."

Ragatha removes her hands from her face and once again rubs her arm.

"You're... you're not weirded out?"

"I've seen and heard weirder stuff, heheh..."

Pomni and Ragatha share a small yet hearty laugh with each other, before coming to a stop as silence takes over.

...
...
...

Pomni speaks up.

"So... when you sang all those other songs... you were singing about me?"

"You heard those too?? I need to ask Caine to sound proof my room..."

Pomni giggles at Ragatha's half-joking comment.

"Well... i-if it's no trouble... could you... maybe... sing it to me again?"

Ragatha's head perks up like a dog's.
"Y-Yeah! Yes of course! I'd... I'd love to!"

Ragatha rushes over to the toybox she uses as a stool and sits down, ushering Pomni to sit next to her. Pomni follows, sitting somewhat close to the oversized doll.

"And... i-if you want, you can come in and listen anytime! I've got a lot of sappy feelings I wanna sing out into the world, y'know?" Ragatha says, with a big dumb smile on her face.

Pomni chuckles.
"Good, I've always loved your songs."
