BEEP-BEEP-BEEP.
The obnoxious blaring of an alarm fills Stacy's ears. She groans and slams the snooze bar to shut it up.
Stacy wanted to kill Stiles for making her and Scott traverse through the woods in the middle of the night before their first day back at school. She laid awake for a few minutes before slowly pulling herself from her cozy bed.
Yawning, she stumbled over to the adjoining bathroom that she shared with her younger brother, Billy. Billy was an extremely sassy thirteen-year-old boy who had already started his seventh-grade career. Hearing the muted snores coming from the other side of the bathroom wall, Stacy figured that he forgotten to set his alarm.
Pulling open the door on Billy's side, she approached her younger brother, who was in a deep slumber.
"Billy," Stacy said, shaking her brother's shoulder gently. "Get up. Billy."
She shook him harder and sighed. That kid could sleep through the detonation of an atomic bomb and not be the least bit bothered.
"BILLY!" she finally shouted right in his ear.
"GAH! What the hell, dude?!" Billy grumbled. He swatted at her sleepily.
"Sorry," Stacy shrugged. "You gotta get up. You don't want Pat's dad waiting for you in the driveway again while you feverishly butter your toast."
Pat was Billy's best friend. Pat's dad was a teacher at Beacon Hills middle school, so he offered to drive Billy each morning to help out Julia Ledger, the kids' busy mother.
"If you buttered it for me, then I wouldn't have been late," Billy claimed, pulling off his blankets and leaving them in a pile on the ground.
"I asked you if you wanted me to make you breakfast and you said no," Stacy scoffed, returning to the bathroom that separated the two siblings' rooms.
"Yeah, but when I say no, that's because I feel bad having you do something for me. Of course I want food," Billy point out, rising to follow his older sister into the bathroom.
Rolling her eyes, Stacy began washing her face. "You sound just like every girl in a relationship, dude."
"Then 1. That makes you the deadbeat boyfriend, and 2. Girls are smart and manipulative, so I take that as a compliment."

Taking her brother's thought-process into consideration, Stacy whipped up a quick scrambled egg breakfast for Billy downstairs before she went back up to her room to get dressed.
"Billy, eggs are on the counter!" she called before slipping into her room.
"Did you add cheese?!"
"Yes, you dingo, I added cheese." Stacy rolled her eyes.
"Thanks, big sis. You're the best!" Billy called back.
Stacy smiled as she dug into her closet for an outfit. Billy could be a pain at times, but he truly was a great little brother. He loved his mother and sister to death, despite his constant desire to piss them off. As the sole man of the house, he felt the need to look out for the rest of his family, even though he was the youngest.
"Hmmm what to wear?" Stacy wondered, picking through clothes. It was the first day back after all. She wasn't a huge fashion geek, but constant influence from Lydia Martin had forced her to become a little involved in the world of style. And by little, that meant next to none because Stacy refused to wear dresses and heels to school like Lydia. Like seriously, who does that?
