December 25th, 2023, New York City

They didn't agree to fight me. I wonder why. It's not like I have killed thousands. Totally not.

They both left after saying that they were going to spend Christmas with Clint's family, two things that I don't know what they mean.

They did move me to a nicer cell though but it was next to a slightly attractive man with black hair. I realized I was starring so I quickly looked away.

Unfortunately he saw me starring at me. "What did you do to get locked in here?"

I looked at him and then quickly back to trying to pick the lock on the chain that was attached to the center of the floor.

"What's your name?" The man sounded genuinely curious.

I gave him another glare.

"Can you talk or are you all glares and eye rolls? I'm Loki by the way."

"The Loki? Noice. And yeah I can talk, in 14 languages."

"So why are you here?"

"I'm an assassin that tried to kill them and they see me as a threat so now they want me to join. I said I would only if they gave me what I want, and that is freedom."

"You seem smart."

"No way, I already knew that dipshit."

"Well aren't you sassy."

"And sarcastic. Mind if I ask you a question?"

"No not all."

"How do you get there trust. One super smart, sarcastic, sassy, and a little evil guy to a another."

"They don't trust me so no idea."

"Are you tired? I am. I just slept  for the first time in days and only for 2 hours."

"You should get some sleep then."

"But when I sleep I have nightmares." He might be the first person I have told about this.

"I'll be right here if you need to talk."

I got the strange feeling he loved me not in a romantic way but in a brotherly way. It felt weird like an emotion I was unfamiliar with but I liked it.

I was able to fall asleep with him there. Knowing that with whatever happened I had a friend. Friend might be a stretch but still.
