Brian's lips were as soft as they looked and Roger felt like he might melt at the feel of them pressing into his own. And the grip Brian had on his arms was enthralling as he held Roger close and kissed him.
Brian finished his slow easy kiss and pulled away. Roger let out a sound that implied he didn't want the kiss to end. Making Brian form a smile.
"That was nice..." Brian remarked and made a sound of his own as Roger leaned back in and kissed him properly this time. His lips directly on Brian's and his body filling up with butterflies and a sense of arousal to finally have physical contact with this man. The kiss continued until Brian pulled back.
"That's enough for now..." Brian declared as he gave Roger an affectionate look. "We've got our dinner reservation..." he reminded the man pressed against him.
Despite what his body and heart were willing him to do, Roger nodded and pulled back as well. Giving Brian a smile as he returned to just sitting next to him. Brian let go of his arms. Seeing things were on pause.
"It was nice..." Roger remarked as Brian smiled back. He was pleased to know that Brian clearly was attracted to him and had shown it in his return kiss.
"Let's head out..." Brian suggested as he stood up from the sofa. Roger followed suit and they donned their coats. They left Brian's home and walked down the block. The feeling of being on a first date remained with Roger and his stomach was a flutter as he looked over at his friend. Partly wanting to take his hand and partly wanting to skip the meal and step into a closed shop doorway and kiss again. He took a deep breath to calm himself. Finding the entire situation surreal but exciting.
"I hope you like Spanish food..." Brian said as they turned the corner and he pointed towards a restaurant across the street. The sign indicated it was called Almeria.
"I've not had a lot of Spanish food...but I'm willing to try something new..." Roger responded. Gaining a smile from Brian.
"Yes...you are someone who clearly likes trying new things..." Brian agreed as they reached the entrance and Brian opened the door for him. The men were seated at a table in a quiet corner and Roger noted the staff clearly were familiar with Brian. The waiter instantly brought them a carafe of Sangria and poured them each a glass. They were handed menus as Brian spoke with the waiter about their specials.
"Would you allow me to order for you since you're new to the cuisine?" Brian questioned politely. Roger nodded.
"Go on....I like most everything..." Roger advised. He sipped his Sangria as Brian decided on something called Pan con Tomate for their starter. Brian said it was like the Spanish version of Bruschetta. Something Roger was familiar with. After that Brian arranged for a tasting platter of sorts so Roger could try several things. He found it a nice gesture. The waiter left with the promise of their starter coming momentarily.
"You seem to know a lot about the food...do you eat here often?" Roger questioned.
"I do..." Brian responded. "I developed a taste for Spanish food during a trip I took to Spain about 10 years ago and a friend told me about this place after I returned..." Brian answered.
"I've never been to Spain..." Roger told him as Brian's face lit up.
"You have to go sometime!" Brian declared. "It's a wonderful holiday spot...so much sun and the towns and beaches are marvelous!" he enthused. "The food is delicious and I found I quite enjoyed the people..." he remarked.
"I'll add it to my bucket list..." Roger replied as Brian gave him an endearing look.
"Good!" Brian said as their starter was delivered. The men busied themselves eating and Brian answered Roger's questions about the food and the country as they tasted each course.
