"In ancient times... I was worshipped as a god"

The crashing of waves is heard, as large spike-like objects pierced the water from below.

"The humans saw me as the guardian that rose from depths to save them"

As the spikes sliced through the water's surface, a much larger figure is seen slowly rising from beneath.

"They've given me a name. One that has stuck to this day"

They approached an island, the figure rising from the water, revealing a body of dark scales, and a bulky build.

"it's not my real name. But.. if I were to be honest... I enjoy the one they gave me"

Fury: "and what was that name, if you don't mind me asking?"

???: "The humans called me... Godzilla.."

Fury: "as in the one from the legends?"

Godzilla: "that's me.."

Fury: "uh-huh..."

Fury took a shot of the drink in front of him, as he looked at the barely adult, seemingly human male.

Godzilla: "what..?"

Fury: "the stories don't tell how human you look"

Godzilla: "this body was a recent development. My... Special one.. had convinced me to try it.."

Fury: "“special one“.. got it... And who's that?"

Godzilla: "you should know. If you truly read the stories the humans told of me"

Fury: "the guardian of earth, Mothra"

Godzilla: "yes"

Fury: "and what convinced you?"

Godzilla: "something a human such as yourself wouldn't understand"

Fury: "alright then.. what about the other name? The name that you were born with?"

Godzilla: "it's nothing special. Just.. y/n"

Fury: "hm. Basic name for the "king of the monsters""

Y/n: "enough talk human. What is it that you want from me?"

Fury: "I want to invite you"

Y/n: "to what?"

Fury: "I'm putting together a team. I believe that having such a powerful being such as yourself would be useful"

Y/n gave fury a glare, before scoffing.

Y/n: "fine. I accept. But only to see if it entertains me"

Fury: "perfect. Welcome aboard Godzilla. or do you prefer your highness?"

Y/n: "while in this form, y/n is more suitable. only my special one is aware of both names"

Fury: "fine by me. When the team is needed, I'll send an agent to get you"

Fury stands up from the wooden chair, and leaves the outside bar. Y/n scoffs again, before doing the same, walking towards the water. He then dives in.

As fury is about to leave the island, he hears a roar. Turning to the horizon, he sees the giant figure that is Godzilla, glaring towards his direction. Another roar is given, before the king of the monsters dives into the depths.

Fury: "a monster hidden amongst men. What a story that will tell"
