It was just lunch with girls, girls that Amelia would see almost everyday until she goes back home, whenever that will be. She couldn't stick to León the entire time she attended the school. She had to find her own place by herself.

"How do you like Buenos Aires so far?" Violetta asked as all four girls sat at a table at an outdoor restaurant. "It's a ways from Los Angeles."

"It is only different since my family is back home, but it's nice. I've already been here for a week, and the apartment I'm staying in is pretty spacious and comfortable."

"You're staying by yourself?" Camila questioned. "Like you could have parties and your parents wouldn't know? You can do anything and they'd have no idea."

"Camila, you can't just throw a party at someone else's house," Francesca interjected, then turned towards Amelia. "But, you could have a small get together, like a housewarming party of sorts, and you can invite people from the studio, maybe meet someone new. It's just an idea."

"That's an idea, maybe this weekend?" Amelia questioned. "The only person I know is León and it would be nice to meet new people. Let's do it."

"We can help you plan it!" Camila added. "We can get a guest list started, maybe we can meet tonight to go over details?"

"I actually have plans, I'm going over to León's for dinner with his parents."

"You're meeting his parents?" Violetta questioned, then frowned.

"No, I've already met them. I've known them for my entire life, they're like my parents," Amelia stated. "It's really not a big deal, he's my oldest friend. There's nothing to worry about," Amelia lied. She was trying to make friends, and Violetta was a lot nicer than others, and no one will find out about her crush on León, she's kept it to herself for this long.

"Well, we can talk details now," Camila said, changing the subject. "We can invite everyone, I think Maxi might have a crush on you already," she told Amelia.

"Maxi?" Amelia questioned. "Oh, I— I'm not really here to meet guys and to date anyone. Can we talk about this later? I forgot I had to call my sister." Amelia stood up pulling her phone out of her pocket. She touched her sister's contact information and called her.

"Mills? It's seven in the morning, why are you calling me so early? Oh my god, did you and León already—?"

"Morgan," Amelia sighed. "No. I'm not even with León at the moment, I'm actually having lunch with his ex-girlfriend."

"His ex-girlfriend? Mills, you are not doing what I think you're doing."

"I don't know what you mean," Amelia commented. She turned around, the three girls were chatting while eating.

"Scoping out the competition. Does León still have feelings for this girl? Does the girl still have feelings for him? Are you planning to twist it to your liking so you end up with León?" Morgan questioned.

"Okay. I have no idea why they broke up, but I do know that she still has feelings for him and when I mentioned I was heading to his place for dinner, she got sad—"

"Oh, you're a sneaky bitch," Morgan interrupted. "Wait a minute, you're having dinner at the Vargas's today and you didn't even mention it to us?"

"Okay, bye, Morgan. I'll call you later, love you!" Amelia ended the call. She wasn't scoping out the competition as her sister said, she was making friends with people in her classes. Even if she had a crush on León, she couldn't act on it, not when someone else and León have a history, a recent history.

🎹

"It's so great to see you, Amelia. I apologize we couldn't come up for your graduation, did you receive our gift?" Mrs Vargas asked Amelia. They were sat at the dinner table. It was just Amelia, León and his mom. His dad had to work late.

"I did," Amelia smiled, grabbing the necklace from under her shirt. "It seems silly, but I always wanted a necklace that had my name on it. I really appreciate it."

"He saw it while he was in Italy for the studio's last tour, I was surprised he saw your name on one," Mrs Vargas said. He? "Now, who's here with you? I told León to invite you and whoever is here with you. But he must've heard just you."

"Mom," León spoke up. "Millie's here by herself."

"No way your mother let you move across the world by yourself, what did you bribe her with?"

"Well, she didn't. My dad flew back home yesterday, there was a work emergency, he would've flown back in a couple days. But I am staying in the Serenity Skies apartment," Amelia explained. "There's like security on every floor, and every guest has to be added onto a list before they're even allowed in the building."

"Sounds like your mother, she definitely does her research," Mrs Vargas commented. "Well, while you're here you are more than welcome to come by any time for family dinners. How are you enjoying the studio? Is León keeping you to himself? Giving you a hard time making new friends?"

"I've enjoyed the classes I've been in, but everyone is so busy with the new show. And I've made some acquaintances that could become friends," Amelia stated. "Everyone seems nice."

"You must've met Violetta, she's León's girlfriend and she's so nice—"

"Mom. We broke up," León interrupted. "And Millie's met everyone already."

"You two broke up again?" Mrs Vargas questioned. Again? "With the amount of times you two break up and make up, you two give me whiplash. How am I supposed to keep track?"

"Can we not bring up Violetta?" León asked. "I'm sure Amelia doesn't want to hear about my relationship issues."

"I'm sure Amelia has relationships issues, too. Don't you?" Mrs Vargas questioned. "You probably left a trail of broken hearts in California when you moved here."

"I wouldn't say that," Amelia responded. "Most guys never noticed me."

"Most guys are idiots," León spoke in a whisper.

"Most guys never know what they can have until they can't have it. You can ask León's dad, it took him months to realize that I was trying to flirt with him. I had gotten into a different relationship when he finally realized. Might be in the DNA," Mrs Vargas chuckled, sending a wink to Amelia, who hid her smile while taking a bite of her pasta.
