Sona was lying on the floor by resting her head on the bed side table. Many bruises and belt marks where there on her body. There was no space left where she didn't got the belt marks. She slowly opened he eyes. Which were swollen due to crying the whole night. Dry tear marks where visible on her face with some scratches and redness. When she tried to got up she hissed in pain and sat back on the floor. Her whole body was aching like hell. She was barely able to move her body. Then the flashback of last night scattered around her eyes. Her father who was beating her mercilessly with a belt. She was almost beaten to death. It was not something new for her because maximum times she faced these kind of behaviour from her father.

About Sona : "She was mistreated like this since childhood because she was girl and the family expected a boy from her mother. Everyone was ready to abandoned her but her grandmother disagreed and insisted them to keep her and take care of her. First of all they disagreed to the dicison then eventually it got to normal. But unfortunately her grandmother died because of heart attack 4 months ago. And now no one is their to save her from these".

Anyhow she got up and went to the washroom for freshing up. She tried to hide her marks with foundation as she have to attend the college. She wore a full sleeves top and a jeans to his her marks and bruises

She went down stairs and saw her mother sitting on the sofa sipping the tea

Sona: maa l am going to the college.

Her mother " Tanvi" looked towards her with pure hate and disgust.

Tanvi: Go where ever you want because this is the last year we are allowing to study. So study as much as you can because after this we will fix your marriage and a burden will be removed from our head.

Her eye widened listening about her marriage.

Sona: w-wh-at my marriage??

Tanvi: yaa you know what l think this year also l shouldn't have let you study because it all waste.

Sona: But maa l have dreams l want to become a doctor.

Her mother walked towards her and grabbed her jawline and said.

Tanvi: we are not here to listen to your advice. Just do as we say.

By saying this she left her and went towards her room. Sona was crying helplessly but unfortunately no one was here to value her tears. She mumbled to her while wipping her tears.

Sona: why God why it is always me.

She left for the college.
