Short Chapter Ahead
Valeria's POV
I'm so nervous.
I walked up the stairs, following Avery. She cut the corner and I did the same. We reached her room and I sat on her bed.
"Alright, let's make this short. What do you want from me?" Avery asked, crossing her arms.
"I just want to say that I am deeply sorry fo-" I didn't get to finish my sentence.
"I don't care about that shit, Valeria. Just get to the point," Avery said, sighing in the process.
"Right. What I'm trying to say it I made a mistake. I should've known better than to choose Gio over you," I finished, looking down at my thighs.
"Well, your mistake, not mine." Avery shrugged.
"I was wondering if you could give me a second chance?" I muttered, playing with my fingers.
"You know, I'm not giving you shit. I've given you chance after chance and I still got hurt in the end," Avery walked out of the room, leaving me alone.
I gathered myself and headed back to the living room to see Avery and her friends playing a game. I didn't want to ruin their night, so I just sat on the steps and scrolled on TikTok.
About 30 minutes of laughing at videos passed by when I heard footsteps coming toward me.
"Valeria, what are you doing?" Avery stepped in front of me.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" I asked.
"Sitting on a step and watching videos?" Avery answered as a question.
"Smart girl," I said, still looking down.
"What's with the attitude?" Avery said, sitting next to me.
"I don't have an attitude. You're just reading my tone incorrectly," I said, looking into her brown eyes.
"Look, I didn't come over here to argue. I came to make amends and ask for another chance. You said no, so I guess I'll leave now," I got up and stretched.
I felt Avery pull me back down. She put an arm around me and sat against the step.
"You know, I told myself that if you ever came back, I wasn't going to talk to you, nor would I look at you," Avery told me, looking into my eyes.
"Well, look at you now," we laughed.
"It's just something about you that makes me want you so badly," Avery explained.
"Maybe it's my body. Maybe you've never had someone like me who could please you in every way possible," I smirked.
"Nah, I've had better," Avery said jokingly.
I hope jokingly-
"Anyways, I better get back to the game. You can join us if you want," and with that, Avery left the staircase.
I stayed on the steps and checked the time. It was getting late so I decided to head home. A lot of cheers were heard and I went to check it out. I saw Avery making out with one of her friends.
Don't get jealous...
Do not get jealous.
DO NOT GET JEALOUS!
Walking down a few more steps, I exited the house. I couldn't be mad at her. We're not together, but it still hurts to see her with someone else. Getting into my car, I head to Waffle House.
Jealous Mep.
*****
Avery: why'd you leave?
Avery: where are you?
Avery: okay well goodnight
Avery has been texting me for the past thirty minutes. I've been ignoring her. Finally, she stopped texting.
I stuffed my mouth with food. Looking around, I found myself looking for a friend. I spotted an old man sitting by himself. I was about to go over there when a short older lady sat with him.
Must be nice.
"Long time no see," a voice called from behind me.
This can't be real-
I turned around and indeed it was real.
I know those boobies-
"Hey, Andrea"
Should I publish a new book after I'm done with this one? Byeee!
