Another day being alive and another day filling out paperwork.
That's exactly what YunHa spent her morning doing st Aespa's HQ.
She sighed and shook her head, reaching for her daily energy drink to keep her awake at the ass crack of dawn.
YunHa checked the time. It was 7:00 A.M.
"How's it going?"
A familiar voice asked, making YunHa's attention turn to the shoulder bumping hers. It was Kyla. The reason why YunHa got up every exhaustive morning.
YunHa cracked a smile and chuckled lightly.
"It's fine, just a load of work I gotta get done and then turn it into Taeyeon for Karina"
Kyla reached behind YunHa and patted her back.
"You got this, don't be so nervous about talking to Taeyeon... she looks scary but she's just a sweetheart"
YunHa smiled a bit more and nodded.
"Thanks, Kyla, you always have your way with words of affirmation"
"No problem and again, good luck"
Kyla said as she gave a thumbs up, got up from her seat, and left YunHa to be alone again.
Smiling with a sigh escaping her lips, she got to work to finish this paperwork and get it turned in.
Later into the day, YunHa stepped inside the elevator to go up to Taeyeon's office when a boy rushed in behind her, clearly startling her, and he was out of breath.
YunHa kept a close eye on the boy as she cleared her throat to speak.
"Uh... what floor are you going to?"
The boy looked at YunHa, heaving heavily as he ran his fingers through his hair.
"Top floor"
YunHa nodded and pressed the top floor button. The elevator doors closed and the boy leaned up against the railing as the view of the city and NCT HQ became more beautiful.
"Where are you headed?"
The boy asked. YunHa looked at the boy once then at the view again then back at the boy and she smiled.
"Top floor"
She looked away again for a moment before looking at the boy again.
"Lee YunHa"
"Maeda Riku"
Maeda Riku That name sounded very familiar.
"Are you... acquainted with NCT?"
Riku asked and YunHa chuckled as if she was happy he asked.
"I'm the daughter of Lee Taeyong"
Riku's eyes widened and he let out what sounded like a joyful chuckle.
"Wow! Really?"
Riku laughed softly and stood up straight.
"That's insane... I've heard such badass stories about your dad"
YunHa nodded and smiled, turning her body's attention to Riku as well.
"I was taken away and my mom brutally murdered when I was 3 and my dad found me in LA with a now dead nemesis and saved me"
Riku frowned and nodded.
"I'm... sorry about your mom... I understand that... except my mom was beaten to death by the hands of my father who is now imprisoned as he deserves"
YunHa frowned as well and she reached over to pat his shoulder.
"You can always get over trauma... but you never forget, word of advice from my dad"
The elevator dinged as the doors finally opened. YunHa looked at the door and then at Riku. She smiled and walked out towards Riku's same destination. Taeyeon's office.
YunHa approached Taeyeon's office door and knocked.
"Come in"
YunHa turned the doorknob and entered Taeyeon's office. Approaching her desk where she was currently at work, she set the paperwork down in front of her.
"I finished what Karina gave to me"
Taeyeon looked at the paperwork and smiled, looking up at YunHa.
"Your father raised an efficient worker... typically it takes two business days for one of those boys to finish a stack of paperwork"
YunHa laughed softly and she smiled.
"My dad did always tell me to turn stuff like this in early so I look better"
"I'm very glad he taught you that. I've spoken to your father, he believes it would be good for you to start now rather than later so you have more time to learn"
Taeyeon stood up and motioned YunHa to follow her. Going over to her bookcase, she pulled the lever to open it and she opened her safe.
Pulling out a stunning white handgun with a holographic design on it, Taeyeon handed it to YunHa.
"Oh... Taeyeon... I can't take that"
Taeyeon being as humble as she is insisted that YunHa take the gun.
"Just like Ten giving Eleven to your father... I'm giving Lucky to you... Lucky never misses a shot and you will need luck on your side within time"
YunHa swallowed and took the gun from Taeyeon and held it securely in her hand.
"Thank you... I'll cherish this forever"
Taeyeon nodded and led YunHa back to her desk.
"And one more thing your dad agreed upon that he did not with Ten"
Taeyeon cleared her throat and hollered out for a boy
"Riku!"
Riku? What did Riku have to do with YunHa receiving a gun?
Riku peeked his head in as he was greeted and welcomed by Taeyeon.
"I'm sure by now you two have met, Riku, this is YunHa, Lee Taeyong's daughter, YunHa, this is Riku, one of Ten's newest recruits"
The two both nodded and Riku came closer and sat down.
"We kind of ran into each other involuntarily with the lift up here"
Riku explained and Taeyeon smiled and nodded.
"That's good then because you two will be my youngest agent duo from now on"
