Jay - beautiful

Y/n's Point Of View

"Come on, Y/n, we're gonna be late!" shouts Elin from outside of my room, knocking the door severously. I was brushing my hair but after hearing Elin's rushing voice i quickly put my brush down, checking how i look at the mirror one last time before dashing out of the door.

"Oops, almost forgot." I step backed into my room to grab my purse and my mask. 

"Are you seriously going to wear a mask again? You're pretty why should you cover your beauty?" Elin exclaimed, dissapointed in me being not confident even after wearing a beautiful dress and make up. I sheepishly smiled, eventhough she couldn't see it of course. Elin could only roll her eyes at my stubborness.

"Okay let's just go." We both went to the car after making sure nothing was left behind for our picnic with our other two friends who was already waiting at the beach where we decided to meet up. The drive took 30 minutes to get there and a few minutes of walking. As we arrived, we saw Bella and Nathalie already sitting down at the pink picnic blanket which is probably belongs to Nathalie since she's a pink addict.

"Hi, sorry we took so long." I appologized as soon as we approached them.

"It's about time you both show up." Bella crossed her arms, feigning upset, followed by Nathalie who decides to pretend being upset also. "You better bring my ice cream." 

I brought up the mini cooler box and showed it to Bella. Her expression changed almost immediately after seeing an ice cream as she instantly took one and unwrap the wrappers. 

"Now this is what i'm talking about." We all sat down on the picnic blanket, enjoying every bits of ice cream that melts into our mouths. I took off my mask for a while and shove it into my pocket to enjoy the ice cream better without the mask dangling on my ear.

We talked together, we laughed together, and even played some card games together as we spend the noon while waiting for sunset to come. Unfortunately i lost first in the card game that we're playing right now, and it seems that it's going to take a quite long time to find the final winner between the three, so i decided to walk by the shore by myself to kill some time.

I admire every single view that i can see with my eyes, the beautiful sky, the fluffy clouds, the majestic ocean. Not to mention the breeze that passed by and how the soft sand feels between my toes. Suddenly i heard a click sound from a camera, i looked around to meet eyes with a beautiful pair of dark brown orbs. 

Author's Point Of View

"I'm going to go for a walk and take some pictures." Jay told his friends that were resting in the beach hut, not forgetting to wear the camera around his neck to hunt for some pictures. Jay was always interested in photography, of course he wouldn't miss the chance to capture the beauty of the beach he was visiting. As he walked on the shore, he was busy capturing everything that caugh his attention, admiring the beauty of the nature while stopping from time to time to look at the result of the photos he took. 

Feeling satisfied with how the picture turned out, Jay continued his steps along the shore leaving footprints on the soft sands while still on the lookout for a more breathtaking view. He soon realized that the sun was about to set, so he got his camera ready to take the perfect sunset picture, he moved his camera here and there to find the right angle until he stopped when he notices a figure of someone in the camera. It was a beautiful lady wearing a white dress topped by a light yellow cardigan with the wind blewing past her hair making her look more beautiful and unreal. And that beautiful lady was you. Just then he knew he had to get that captured in his camera, and also in his memory. But it appears that the shutter sound of the camera came out louder than he expected, making you turn around. Your eyes locked with eachother, and it sends something to the heart, just like they say, from the eyes it fell to the heart.

However when Jay tried to approach you, you quickly put a mask on your face and turned around to walk away. Knowing he couldn't just let you go like that, Jay tries to run after you and catch you. "Miss, wait!" 

After a while, he finally catches after you, taking your wrist to stop you from going any way further. You turned around, eyes widened when the guy with the camera literally ran after you. 

"I'm sorry if i scared you, i was just taking some pictures until i noticed you in the frame. Would it be okay if i take some more pictures of you? I'll send it to you afterwards and i can guarantee i'm not a creep or something." Jay explains, almost like he was desperate to have you in his pictures. 

"But.. I'm not really confident, oh but i can ask my friends for you to take pictures instead." you suggested but Jay shook his head, he doesn't want any other girls to be in the picture, he wants you to be in it.

"I can say that you're really beautiful, Miss. I saw you without your mask just now and you look.. breathtaking." Jay said, sincerity was heard from his voice. It was sincere enough to make your heart flutters. In the end you took off your mask agreeing for yours picture to be taken by this somewhat attractive stranger. He was so gentle to lead you and show you how to pose without demanding too much things. After a few more clicks, you approach him to see how the photo turned out. Looking at the photo got your jaw dropping to the ground, you never feel pretty in pictures until now. 

"It looks so pretty... Thank you." My eyes still shine looking back at the photos. Jay smiled as he look at you still admiring the pictures in his camera. 

"My name's Jay by the way. May i know yours?" Jay asked as he extended his hand for a handshake.

"Oh of course, I'm Y/n." You took his hand in yours and give it a light shake, feeling some kind of electricity sent down your whole body. Then we exchanged numbers and social media account to get to know each other more. While chitchatting for a little bit, my phone rang signalling someone is calling, and it was Nathalie. By that you both know that you have to go now and say your farewells.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Y/n. Hope we can see each other again sometimes." 

"I hope so too, Jay." You both shook hands for the last time before bidding your goodbyes as you made my way back to your friends. 

"There you are, where were you?" asked Elin when she spotted you approaching them, with a sheepish smile stucked on your face. "And what's with the smile?" 

"Nothing." Although you said nothing, your expressions definitely means something, but your three friends decided to just shrugged it off.

"Come on, let's take a picture before the sunsets gone." Bella fished out her phone as we posed to take a selfie with the beautiful orange sky as the background. 

"Hey look, Y/n's not wearing her mask this time!" Everybody turned to you, realizing you just took a picture with them without wearing your mask, instead it was replaced by a pretty smile. It was like the most wonderful thing as your friends hugged you altogether. 

"Okay, let's celebrate it over dinner shall we?" As you guys broke away from the hug, you began to tidy up the place, collecting your belongings to move destination. While you were gathering your things, a notification got in to your phone making you immediately check who just sent you a message. It was from Jay, he sent you the pictures just as he promised, but one picture caught your attention the most. It was a picture of your group hug just now. You looked around and there he was, smiling from afar as he waved his hand to you. You waved back as you smiled, this time you weren't afraid to show that beautiful smile of yours. 

Remember, all people have their own beautiful smiles to share, including you.
