"Karin!" Bennet shouts at me waving his hand in front of my face trying to get my attention.
"I'm sorry babe." I apologize to my Greek god of a man.
Bennet has blonde curly hair with grey eyes like his cousins. He has a round adorable face that I love to pinch at times. When it was summer and he was on vacation from college he invited me to his family's vacation house.
My eyes trail down to his exposed upper body making me already watering at the mouth.
"You ever going to decide what you are going to do?" Bennet asks me for what seems like the billionth time. I can't help but roll my eyes at him. This causes him to pout at me adorably.
"What is there to decide? We are now in our early twenties. Why are you trying to rush life?" I ask getting up and getting a beer out of his mini fridge.
I have known Bennet since middle school. His parents thought it would be a good idea for their child to get a public education. Get to know the working class as his father has put it.
Being how Bennet knows me pretty well he should know I'm noncommittal. He knew this before he started his relationship with me. He also knew not to judge me or push me about things that I was not comfortable with.
I have rules if I ever sleep with anyone. I make it clear to them that I do not want a serious relationship. They agree to hook up casually with a hero complex of trying to 'save me.'
I didn't need saving I needed my freedom and peace.
"Exactly, we are in our twenties now. It's time that you start looking into what you want to do or at least get a job." Bennet bluntly says making me blink at him.
I squeeze the beer can in my hand causing it to spill over.
"Look at what you made me do. Now my beer is all ruined." I say fake whining grabbing another one while heading towards the front door to the beach house.
"Where are you going?" Bennet asks like a parental figure making me slam the door.
I hate it when he is like this. Why can't he just let me be?
I quickly find myself at the nearest beach bar where they have live concerts going all the time. I'm sipping on my sex on the beach enjoying the best of the music playing.
Making my way into the crowd of people dancing I join in. So far I'm enjoying Miami and everything it has to offer. That is up until Bennet started lecturing me like a parent. What a major turn-off.
I scan the crowd to find me a dancing partner. I see a woman who has curves for days and is short. Her back is to me but the way her ass fills those shorts is already getting me hard.
"Can I steal you for a dance?" I ask coming up behind her leaning in her ear so she can hear me over the music.
She turns around to meet my handsome face causing my jaw to drop.
"Evelyn?" I ask in dismay. I always knew my best friend is a looker but I didn't realize just how nice her ass is until now.
"Really Karin?" Evelyn asks already giving me a scornful look with her almond colored eyes.
I hold up my hands in surrender slowly backing myself into the crowd—until Ms. Queen Bee jerks me by my arm hurting me in the process.
"You know for a woman you sure know how to manhandle." I scoff at Camila who balls her fists to her sides.
"Shut up. Do you care to explain why my cousin is at the beach house alone?" Camila asks fuming I look at Evelyn pleading with her to rescue me.
She ignores my pleas going to get herself a drink. The betrayal is real.
