We arrive back at the beach house where Camila is happily lounging outside in a pink bikini.

"How did everything go?" Camila asks her grey eyes focused solely on her fiancé.

"Wonderful Karin mentioned I should have you tag along next time," Evelyn says throwing me underneath the bus entirely.

Camila gives me a glare putting her sunglasses back on her. I don't get why she is glaring at me she is the one who is getting married not me.

"Sounds great babe," Camila says with a smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes.

Evelyn tells us she will be right back as she goes inside the house. Leaving me alone with the aggressive blonde.

"Talked to Bennet lately?" Camila asks out of the blue making me run my fingers through my jet-black hair.

"Last night," I say giving her a vague answer seeing how it's none of her business.

Camila once again takes off her sunglasses giving me her infamous glare.

"Do you even know the reason he had to go back?" Camila asks knowing damn well I didn't have a clue.

I just clenched my jaw getting annoyed with her.

Camila scoffs at me like she is disappointed in me over something that I can't comprehend.

"Dear auntie and uncle are pressuring Karin to take over the business," Camila states observing my reaction.

I sigh because there is nothing that I can do. Every time I involve myself in his family affairs I get my head chewed off.

"You probably don't mind considering." Camila continues to patronize me making me annoyed.

"Considering what? That he and I are two consenting adults who both agreed to our arrangement. That you think I'm riding off his coattail?" I say exploding word vomit just keeps spilling out.

"I'm back." Evelyn happily says with a smile only to replace it with a frown.

Camila tries to hide her emotions in front of her fiancé as Evelyn leans down to kiss her.

"I am leaving," I say biting my lip and trying to restrain my emotions because Evelyn is already stressed enough as it is.

"Karin!" Evelyn yells my name while I shut the front door.

Abandonment has always been an issue for me. I'm afraid of truly being alone. With Bennet being gone my anxiety is at an all-time high.

I need a distraction. My first thought is to go to the open beach bar I have been visiting frequently. I quickly banish that thought out of my mind.

Getting my phone out I call an Uber to come pick me up from where I am.

"Your chariot awaits." The handsome man who gave me a ride says once again coming to my rescue.

I wasn't paying much attention that night, but today is different. Finding myself staring at him I notice his dark facial stubble with slicked-back blonde hair. His emerald-colored eyes tease me.

What the fuck. He looks just like Karin a carbon copy. The universe must hate me.

"Are you okay?" Blondie asks me still waiting to be told where it is I want to go.

"Do you have a sibling?" I blurt out asking making him raise his eyebrows at me. He is taken aback by my random question.

"You have to wine and dine me before I'm willing to share personal information." The older man teases me once again.
