Zuri POV 🙋🏾♀
1:00 pm
Maybe he is right. But I'm on birth control. I just don't understand. Anyway, Imani wants to meet up with me for some reason. She says there are things she needs to talk to me about.
I put on my dress and dress Myla. I get in the car and buckle her up. I knock on Imani's hotel door, since she's only in town for a couple of days. She opens the door and brings me to a big hug. She comes off me.
"Girl, are you pregnant?!" Imani says with a playful tone. I scoff then giggle. I walk inside and sit on the couch while cradling Myla. I place her down.
Imani rushes to the kitchen.
"You want a drink?" Imani asks me.
"Just a water," I say while fixing Myla's hair.
Imani looks at me like I'm crazy.
"You are not the same high school Zuri I remember! When you were alone, you would drink so much. I had to stop you, girl!" Imani says while laughing. I chuckle.
"Yeah, times have changed a lot!" I say while smiling.
Imani pours my water and has a seat on the couch.
"So tell me. What's this little one's name?" Imani asks while sipping on her drink.
"Myla Rose Smith," I respond.
"That's a cute name!" Imani says while touching Myla's hand.
"So how have your parents been? Like, fill me in!" Imani asks.
My smile fades.
"I really don't know. They pretty much ran away." I say while putting on lipgloss.
"Hm ok. What about school?" Imani asks.
"I may not be able to go to school. You know taking care of Myla, and money issues. It just isn't possible." I say while sighing.
Imani nods.
"Let's get to the tea though! How have you and Anthony been?" Imani asks trying to cheer me up.
"Uh. It's been rough. I feel like after I had Myla, problems started to arise. We just sometimes don't understand each other. I feel like we both come from different backgrounds and he thinks differently than me." I say about to break down.
Imani brings me into a hug. I start to cry. I come off her.
"It's just I love him so much and I can tell he does because he proposed to me and I just fee-" I say after being interrupted.
"Wait what? He proposed and you didn't tell me?" Imani asks with a serious face.
"I'm sorry. Everything just happened so quickly." I say while sniffling.
I show her the ring. She smiles.
"So what's been going on with you?" I ask Imani.
"I met a guy." Imani says with a blank stare.
"His name? Age? What does he look like?" I ask.
"Jalen. He's 20." She says while showing me his Instagram.
Damn... He's fine as fuck.
I stare at him for a couple seconds. Imani waves in my face.
"Oh! Yeah! He's cute." I say surprised.
At home.....
I take of my shoes and slowly walk since Myla is sleeping. I swear she cries so much when she wakes up. I place her down in her crib. I sigh.
Anthony walks up to me. He kisses my cheek. He looks at me for a second. Something's up.
"You need to tell me something huh?"I say while getting Oreos.
"I bought you a test."Anthony says with a black stare.
"Ok." I say while eating.
I mean at this point I can't deny it. I know I am.
"Huh? That was not the reaction I expected." Anthony says while sitting next to me.
"It's because I am. I can already see the bump." I say while eating.
"Do you even want another kid?" Anthony asks me.
"Not really but at least Myla will have company," I say while grabbing a cup of milk.
Anthony gets up and brings me closer. He kisses my lips softly. I pull him back in for more kisses.
"Thank you. For having my kids." He whispers in my ear. I smile.
"Well you're welcome but how am I supposed to tell everyone?" I ask Anthony.
"We won't," Anthony says while leaning back in for another kiss.
I mean that's fair.
I kiss Anthony and he carries me to the mattress. Damn. This thing is tuff.
"Boy, where my bed?" I say while taking of my shirt.
"In the storage room." He says about to take a shower
I "hmm"
Cant wait for their babies.
