Tyler P.O.V
I walked to the detention hall with my head kept low. I can't believe I got detention on my first day! Its not my fault that some guy decided to tackle me while I was on the football field, and that the coach misinterpreted it and thought we were fighting. As I stepped into the doors the teacher looked up at me from behind her desk. "Take a seat Oakley." she said. I slightly nodded and started to doodle little scribbles on my desk, until I turned my head ever so slightly to see a boy with quiffed brown hair and piercing blue eyes, sit next to me.
I notice he isn't staring at me so I take that time to study his features. The sharp jawline, the long eyelashes, the little birthmark underneath his eye, and the way he blushed under me stare. Oh wait. Oh god he noticed me staring at him. Ugh you haven't even talked with the boy and you already scared him off!
Except his face isn't disgusted that I was staring, he actually looks genuinely happy. The corner of his mouth turned into a gorgeous smile and he giggle a little. "So hey, um I l-like you hair...." were the words that came out of his mouth and revealed his beautiful accent. I catch snap back into reality, and try to start a conversation.
"Hahaha thanks! By the way, I'm Tyler,"
"I'm Troye"
and then after awhile of talking about tumblr and exchanging url's we both notice that the clock says 3:00pm so we both start to pack up before he speaks up again. "Hey, so I-I'll see you around?"
"Hahah yeah I'll see you around,"
We both parted our separate ways and I got in my car and sat with my hands on the steering wheel. My mind drifted to thoughts of Troye. I wondered what it was like to hold hands with him. Hug him when he's sad. Cuddle with him with our limbs entangled underneath the sheets, to feel his lips work perfectly against mine.
My phone starts to ring before I can think of anything else, and frankly I'm quite happy it did, because he's probably not even gay. After snapping back to reality I realize I should probably pick up the phone. "Hey mom,"
"Hey honey. Do you mind grabbing some things at the store? I will pay you back when you get home."
"Yeah sure mom."
"Alright bye love you."
"Love you to mom."
I parked into the parking lot of the grocery store and walked into the store. I quickly went over the list my mom texted me and got the items. unfortunately, the store was packed, so the line I was waiting was a good 10 minutes wait, because the cash register broke. So I pulled out my phone and searched Troye's tumblr. I scrolled through until I went back to my profile and looked through what was on my account.
I realized I had a couple of gay pride things on there and immediately freaked out. What is he's homophobic, what if he will never talk to me anymore. Thoughts like this ran through my head for awhile, until I heard a snapping sound in front of my face and realized it was the cashier snapping in front of my face to get my attention. I mentally cursed myself for being so awkward. But without hesitating I put my items on the counter and said sorry to him, but he just glared at me.
"Geez someones not having a good day." I whispered to myself, hoping that he wouldn't hear me. After scanning my items and putting them in a bag, I was on my way home in my car. when I stepped into my house I was immediately greeted by my mom hugging me. "Hey mom." I said.
"Hey honey, here's $30 for the groceries. And you can just set them on the table."
"Okay."
I was confused as to why she bought so much food, because we just went shopping a couple days ago and bought food. Right when I was about to ask her why we have so much food, she seemed to read my mind and answer my question almost immediately.
