So Here are songs I listened to most when writing the chapters of this book. I hope you enjoy them. I'll try to go back and do this for all the chapters and share author's notes for all of you as I see fit. Thank you again for sharing in Leah's story.
Chapter 1 - Broken Wings - one of my favorite songs from the mid 80s. Their song Kyrie is great and also one I listened to during the writing of the first four chapters.
If Heaven by Andy Griggs - just because
How Do I Say Goodbye - Dean Lewis - A beautiful tribute he wrote for his father, no other words to add.
Chapter 2 Against All Odds
"So take a look at me now, oh there's just an empty space
And there's nothin' left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face"
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - For Leah as she's leaving Atlanta and world she know behind forever
Chapter 3 - Time for Me to Fly
Better Days - Bruce Springsteen - I have feeling Jake listened to this album on his Discman a lot.
Chapter 4 - Into The Great Wide Open
Supermarket Flowers - I listened to this song on repeat when I wrote this chapter, as I poured my soul and tears into it.
Let me know if you like this little insight into my mind and heart behind The Book of Leah, and I'll work on the next set to share with you. - Jay
