It was my first day of school today. School started 2 weeks ago but I had things to do.
I had to get money,take care of ma, take ma to the hospital, pay bills & other.
I finally get up from my bed after staring at the blank wall for about 5 minutes.
Ma thought I was possessed one time. It was the funniest thing ever,she laughed so hard so did I.
I head to check on mom,just to see her watching tv.
I go to the bathroom,looking at myself. My hair was everywhere.
I take my toothbrush,wetting it then applying toothpaste wetting it again.
I brush my teeth for a good 3min. Then I wash my face. I undressed,stepping into the shower.
10 MINUTES LATER
I get out,wiping my body off with a towel going to my room. Moisturizing my skin with lavender lotion.
After getting dressed, I head to the kitchen, getting food out for breakfast for my mom.
"Mom, what do you want today" she was thinking then said "I want eggs with fruit" she said.
Mom always wants eggs & fruit. I always ask her just in case if she wants something else.
15 MINUTES LATER
I finished making food her then I had to head out the door.
"Bye mom" I said hugging her."bye baby" she hugged me back. I loved mom but she won't be around for so long.
It haunts me thinking about how she'll not be here one day because of cancer.
I head out the door,locking it since ma does not go out without me.
I get on the school bus. It's time for education.
AT SCHOOL
I get there immediately going to the office to get my schedule. "Hi I'm Zyra Yara Marcus I need my schedule."
I spoke to the office lady. She gave me my schedule right away. I get out the office.
I check my phone realizing that class started 10 minutes ago.
"I'm already late for... history class. Who the fuck gives history class first period" I mumble
I go to history , entering the class mid teaching. Everyone stops what they're doing to look at me
Why y'all staring so damn hard, I thought."who are you?" The teacher asked.
"The new student,who are you"
I asked the same dumb question.
"The teacher" he said standing tall
