Au: L is actually the shinigami kings son and when he died the shinigami king reincarnated him in another world with his memories.

The shinigami king created L because he wanted a child and to have somebody with him. (not romantically)

The king accidentally created a half human half shinigami child.

L was usually kept in his chambers because the king thought it was to dangerous for him.

So, when L wanted to go to the mortal world a fight happened between the two, and well L ran away.

When L was killed by Light, the king of shinigamis wanted to kill Light and Ryuk, but L wouldn't let him.

He knew his successor, Near, would kill his enemy....rival.....to avenge him.....

The king wanted L to come back to his castle wih him but L refused.

L begged for a chance to have a new life and the king of shinigamis could not resist his son, so he agreed, but L would have to have contact with him in his new life and keep his memories.

Though, the shinigami king noted he had to punish Ryuk and especially Light...for killing his son...

Timeline: After L had died and Kira's influence had spread throughout many countries.

A sudden, blinding flash of white light engulfs the room, and Light Yagami, Near, Misa Amane, Matsuda, Aizawa, and Ryuk find themselves standing in an unfamiliar, pristine white room.

Confusion and tension fill the air as they take in their new surroundings.

Light who was adjusting his tie asked, "What is this place? How did we get here?"

Near, calmly looking around replied, "It seems we've been transported against our will. This room is unlike any I've seen."

Misa, anxiously clutching Light's arm, "Light, what's happening? This place feels strange!"

Matsuda who is now loking around nervously shakingly mummblex, "This can't be real. Did Kira do this? But how?"

Aizawa firmly tells everyone to, "Everyone, stay calm. We need to figure out what's happening and why we're here."

Light decided it was best to agree and raise suspicions, "I agree everyone we should all calm down and think about this logically."

Near was smiling slightly, already thinking of ways to show the Light is Kira, replied, "It is interesting that you mention logic, Light Yagami. This scenerio seems beyond our usual parameters of logic, would you not agree?"

Ryuk just floats above, chuckling.

Ryuk while grinning said, "This is gonna be interesting. I didn't do this, but I'm definitely entertained."

Suddenly, a radiant figure materializes before them, exuding an aura of immense power and authority.

The god's presence is overwhelming, filling the room with an unearthly light.

God, speaking in a deep, resonant voice, said, "Welcome, mortals. I am a god who oversees the balance of life and death. I have brought you here to witness the consequences of your actions."

Light trying his best to maintain composure and not show pride, saying that he was a god, that his time shouldn't be wasted from taking over the world, pretends to be confused and asks, "A god? Why have you brought us here? What do you want from us?"

Near who is the only calm one asks calmly, "This is unprecedented. What purpose do you have in showing yourself to us?"

Misa who is really nervously is clinging onto her lover shrieked, "Light, do something! This is terrifying!"

Matsuda, now panicking shouts, "A god? This can't be happening. What does this mean?"

Aizawa, who was determined to get out of here and find out why they were here asks, "If you're really a god, then tell us why we're here."

In the world of the Shinigami, an entity of immense power known as the Shinigami King resided. For eons, he had ruled over the realm of death, but he felt an emptiness that no amount of souls could fill.
