Chapter Two ||
"I said, who are you and where did you come from?' The same voice said again. The searing pain from my head died down tremendously, but it didn't disappear completely. I opened my eyes, and looked around. Where was I?
"I- I-I...." I stuttered. I took in my surroundings. Red and gold hangings were strewn all along the walls, all the way up to a tall ceiling. There were tables, desks, chairs, and couches placed throughout the circular room. I must be in the Gyrffindor Common Room in the early morning. I cleared my throat before speaking again. "I need to see Headmaster Dumbledore." I said as calm as I could manage.
I finally looked up at my captor, and I was surprised to see Harry Potter. His wand was still at my neck, and his face was solemn, with no emotion. "Why would you need to do that?" he spat.
"Because I need to.." I quickly rolled out of his wand's range, and leaped out of the Fat Lady's portrait. The corridors were slightly lit from the rising sun outside. I ran down moving stairs, and when I reached the bottom, I didn't have enough time to stop. I knocked the innocent person down to the cold stone floor. Hard.
"What the bloody hell?" a thick British accent spat. "Watch where you are going next tim-." he stopped because he looked up, and I saw glowing, gray eyes. His expression softened and put a smirk on his pale face. "Why hello there lovely, you look lost. Need some help?" he said slyly.
"Not now, Malfoy." I mumbled.
I sped off down the first floor corridor before hecould respond. Although, he did scream at the top of his lungs, "WAIT! HOW DID YOU KNOW MY NAME, STALKER???" I rolled my eyes as I turned a corner, and rushed up to the two gargoyles that guarded Dumbledore's office. Oh shit, a password.
"Um....toffee? Cake? Cookies? Justin Bieber?" I guessed random things, but obviously Dumbledore's password would not be Justin Bieber, because I was in another century! I guess I guessed too many wrong passwords, because both gargoyles spat fire at me. It threw me back at the corridor wall, and it knocked the breath out of me.
"Ugh." I grunted. I forgot; this is the book where Harry barely even talks to Dumbledore. I guess I'll just catch him at breakfast.
Wait. I'm not even sorted into a house. I don't have a wand, I don't have books. I don't have anything! I looked down at the black silk robes I was wearing, and they had no trims. So I can't even tell what my House colors are.
So which table do I sit at at breakfast? Which Common Room do I go to? I have no idea. Maybe I wait in the Entrance Hall? Or, I go back to the Gryffindor Common Room. If I started there, I should go back and investigate. I even have Harry Potter as a witness!
I brushed off my robes, and walked up the many flights of stairs to reach the Fat Lady. "Who are you?" She asked.
"Mimbulus mimbletonia." I said, ignoring her questions, and walking through the hole in the wall to confront Harry. "Harry?" I asked. He lept up from his seat and drew out his wand again. He did not approach me, but gave me a cold glare.
"I'll ask you one more time. Who are you and-"
"I don't know."
"What do yu mean you don't know?" Harry was giving me a confused look.
"I'll tell you all I know about myself. My name is Alexandra. I'm not a wizard, witch, or a Death Eater. I don't have a wand, and I need your help." I sadi calmly. I 'm not whatsoever, going to tell him about 2012, or how I know this stuff. I don't even know if I'm still 14 or not!
"Where did you come from? What-"
"I already told you, I don't know." I had an idea. Did I still looked the same? I wonder..."Give me a mirror." I said, with no emotion, and a stern look to Harry.
The Common Room was still deserted, and he crossed the room and lifted a wall mirror off of the wall. He used Wingardium Leviosa to float the mirror in front of me.
My face still had it's normal features, and the structure of my face was normal. My hair was it's same length, but my eyes had changed it's color from brown,, to blue with specks of brown in them. I looked at my chest, and it looked more.......woman like, round, and plump. My bra size must've grown like, half a step. My hips had more curves, and I was 1 or 2 inches taller. Maybe since I was the fifth year, I had to be 15, so some type of magic matured be to be one year older.
"Does everything look.......normal?" Harry asked. His wand was still pointed at me, but his softened expression told me that he wasn't going to cast me into oblivion.
"Yeah. Everything's good. Okay. I'm not sure how I got here, so can you please explain to me what happened?" I crossed the room to an old couch. It was a leather couch, but an icky yellow color. I sat down on it, and immediately bounced back up. Well, at least the springs are working...
Harry followed me and sat in the same couch, but at the other end, with his wand out. "Okay. Well, I was writing a letter to someone..." He began.
"Yes, Padfoot. Now go on."
"How'd you know that??"
Oh crap. Shit. I be damned. How am I supposed to get out of this one???
"Umm.... Lucky guess. Go on." That was good enough for Harry, because he kept explaining. Apparently, I came right through the wall, in a flash of blue swirls. I woke up with the robes I had on, and he had no warning whatsoever.
"Man, I'm screwed." I sighed.
"What?" Harry asked.
"Nothing, just a term from where I come from, which means 'you have messed up so bad, the whole world hates you'."
"Oh."
We sat in silence for the longest time, until a coocoo clock started chirping. "What time is it?" I asked.
Harry rolled up his robes and checked his watch. "Seven. It's almost time for breakfast."
I jumped at the name breakfast. I needed to talk to the Headmaster. I absolutely needed to. I decided to go down early. Or maybe explore the castle. It was somewhat like I imagined it in the books.
I bid Harry goodbye, and left the common room. The Fat Lady asked me again who I was.
"I'm.....uh.....new here?" I choked out. I ran off straight after that. The portraits in this school are quite nosy, if you ask me.
I went roaming. First the dungeons. It was too cold down there. Next, around Dumbledore's office. The gargoyles made a hissing sound, so I decided not to try again. I wandered and wandered, until I got to the seventh floor corridor. I was cold, and a wee but hungry, and I can't exactly sit with my peers, I decided to try the Room of Requirement.
I paced in front a portrait, and thought hard on food and warmth. After a few minutes, the room fulfilled my needs, and I left with a small coat on, and a stuffed stomach.
The hallways were bright and glowing, and student filled the corridors. I ignored the little stares I was getting, and made my way to the Great Hall. Once I reached the Entrance Hall, I stopped. What if he wasn't there? Who would I go to then? Maybe.....maybe...... I hate maybes!
I took a deep breath as the rest of the students filed in and sat down to breakfast. And without further inner quarreling, I waltzed in to the teacher's table.
