Chapter Four ||
I exited the office as the bag of galleons jingled at my sides. The corridors were filled with students rushing to their classes. Most of them stared, and I didn't really mind. At my muggle high school, everyone wanted me; whether it be best friend, lab partner, or girlfriend.
Ok, maybe I under-exaggerated. The corridors were COMPLETELEY packed. I made my way off to the side, letting others pass me by. I saw all types of people; red heads (Weasley's...), brunettes, and blondes. But one certain blonde passed me by, and it was really hard to miss their hair.
"Well, well, well. Miss Alexandra... So I assume you're new here. May I introduce myself formally?" Malfoy said, as he swaggered up to me. I was backed against the wall before, and I still was, even though the corridors were finally clear.
I rolled my eyes at Malfoy. He thought he was so cool, so tough, on top of everyone. Why? Everyone's genes are 99.99% the same anyway. What made him so special?
"C'mon... You know you want to know me. I'm absolutely awesome, and I pretty much rule this school. Who wouldn't want to know me? I'll make you a deal. Let me take you on a date, and you can be my queen1 We can rule this school!" Malfoy really had high self esteem. That wasn't good. Maybe I should just bring it down a few notches...
"Really, Malfoy? I could make a whole list of people who wish they wouldn't have met you, or don't want to meet you. Where do I stand on this list? At the very top." I spat. As soon as the words left my lips, I turned on my heels to the Entrance Hall. He stood where he was, eyebrows furrowed and a small smirk appearing on his face. I could just tell what he was thinking, it was clearer than Scotch Tape.
I'm going to make her want me, need me. I'm going to make her mine.
Oh, woah buddy. Slow down. I don't think we'll be getting to the stage at all. AT ALL.
Ignoring Malfoy's disturbing thoughts to my mind, I made my way through the deserted hallways to the large Entrance Hall. There standing, I found Filch. Just great, absolutely wonderful.
"STUDENT OUT OF CLASS!!!!" Filch bellowed. I ran up to him and clamped my hand over his filthy mouth. Ick, I'll have to wash my hands later...
"Please let me explain, Mr. Filch! Please?" I whimpered. I really did not want to mess with Filch, or worse.... Mrs. Norris. I mean, the cat's not even married! That's weird.
Filch slightly nodded and escaped my near headlock. He stood still and up straight but still ready to run.
"I'm new here. Like, just got here this morning. Dumbledore gave me permission to get out of class to get my supplies. If you think I'm lying, go ahead and ask Professor Dumbledore."
"Fine!" Filch exclaimed. I'll let you go, but I AM checking with the Headmaster... STAY RIGHT HERE!"
Filch turned a corner up ahead, and I ran in the opposite direction. Fast. No way am I waiting for that old man. No way. I had a little trouble opening the huge doors that led out into the huge yard. Man, I need to start lifting. DO YOU EVEN LIFT? No, I don't...
The crisp fall air took me by surprise. I was taken from cool spring weather, so now I have to relive winter. Damn. I took the rocky path to the big black gates. They were open. But as soon as I stepped through, they closed with a loud SLAM!
Well, guess I'll have to go shopping. Now that I was out of the castle gates, I turned around, concentrating on Diagon Ally. It took a few tries, but eventually, I apparated with a loud POP!

Diagon was bustling with people shopping early for Christmas presents. I squeezed through everyone heading the opposite way for the sales. I finally got some personal space when all of the people had headed the other way.
