Can you hear me?
Wake up, sleepyhead, you've been asleep for such a long time. You should enjoy the sunlight too, sometimes.
But if you don't want to do that, that's okay. Maybe you don't like to bask in the sunlight and like sleeping more, that's okay too.
But promise me you won't ever hurt yourself because of others, okay?
I'll always love you no matter what you are.
Everything hurts. All of your limbs feel severely sore, like you've just finished running a full-on marathon on all fours. Your back is laying on something soft and tender, like cotton candy.
"Are you alright?" A familiar voice cuts your thoughts short as soon it enters your ears, making you stir slightly. There's a strange light source shining from some other strange place. You're unsure of what exactly it is, but it's shining so bright to the point you can see a reddish flare through your closed eyelids.
You make sure to turn your head to the side before you slowly blink your eyes open, your fingers twitching slightly while trying to feel around your surroundings as you do so.
"Good morning, Y/N. Hopefully you had a nice sleep while you were out cold," the voice continues. "I was really worried... but at least now I know you're okay."
You turn your head towards the source of the sound, seeing no one but... a whitish orb, sitting stagnantly on the fluffy white clouds.
How long has it been? Why are you still here?
"I know. Things are rather confusing right now," it continues. "You aren't supposed to be here. After our first rendezvous, you were supposed to be reborn. You discovered and satisfied a part of your heart that was missing."
You nod, listening attentively to its voice while trying to make sense of the elaboration provided to you.
"But you're still here. So it's quite clear that your heart is still incomplete."
Oh.
"But that's okay; none of this is any of your fault. Everyone is different after all. Time is a healer," it assured, slowly rolling towards you. "In time, I'm sure you will be able to complete your recovery."
You nod. You're not really sure why this is the case, but you appear to be unable to talk or even make any sounds at all. It's almost as if someone had effortlessly taken your vocal cords out. Even the orb seems to notice this.
"Oh, I'm sorry... my abilities are very limited. I can't heal you," it apologizes pitifully with sincere undertones in its voice as it speaks. "I can help you heal, though. Would you like a flower garden?"
A flower garden? Sounds like a nice change.
You nod, placing your hand on the top of the orb and gently caressing it with your thumb. Something about it made it resemble a golden retriever quite a bit.
