~The Perfect Apple~

im okay really

Alastor woke up late at night not being able to sleep because of the ringing in his ear. Now the ringing had gotten 10x louder than before and his headache got worse as well he wondered why this happened in the first place.

Was his ears really that sensitive?
He thought to himself it really didn't help with Charlie shouting in his ear earlier either. It was really hurting Alastor and he wanted it to stop.

He lay there in his bed with his hands covering his ears. He was laying down in the corner of his bed taking up barely any space he didn't want to move because his ears would hurt to much if he did.

There was a knock on the door a subtle rythem to the knock it was going though Alastor's ears eventually the person who was knocking on the door walked in.

"Alastor I came to check in on y-"
The voice came to a sudden stop.
"You okay?"
The person asked.

Alastor couldn't awnser he was in to much pain he could only whisper the responce they wanted but it was to quiet to be heard.

"Alastor?"

I looked up and saw the king of hell looking worried at me it was quite unusual he'd never do this he was normally never nice to me and didn't care.
This was a surprise from the usual mean comments he would get from him but these past weeks the king has gotten softer towards Him.

"It really hurts that much you couldn't sleep?"
Lucifer asked Alastor trying to be quiet.

"yes"
Alastor replied whispering.
He looked away not wanting the king to see he's in pain.

The king sat down next to Alastor attempting to make him fell better.

They sat in silence for a while.

Lucifer put his hand on Alastor's shoulder.
Alastor flinched from the touch.

Alastor's ears were ringing badly he was holding them in pain.

"It's ok...."
Lucifer could see Alastor's discomfort.
He reached for Alastor's hair and stroked his fingers through it trying to make Alastor feel better.

Alastor took his hands off of his ears and relaxed a bit laying down.
"thank you"
Alastor whispered.

Lucifer magiced up a cup of water and handed it to Alastor.

Alastor took the glass and drank some of the water it didn't taste nice.
"why does it taste so gross?"

"It's just water?"
Lucifer said trying his hardest not to shout at him.

The ringing was going through him at this point and he just wanted to be alone but he didn't tell Lucifer that.
After all Lucifer was making him feel a tiny bit better by doing that.

"Are you okay for me to leave now?"
Lucifer asked.

"It's okay you can leave if you want"
Alastor said to Lucifer.

He was still running his fingers though Alastor's hair then he stopped and stood up.
"Good night then"

"Night...."

Lucifer walked out of the room and closed the door behind him.

When Lucifer had gone Alastor realized how much he hated being alone when he was like this. But he couldn't do anything other than stay up all night and try to sleep but it was impossible with the amount of pain he was going though right now with his ears but this had never happened before so he didn't know what to do about it.
