The next morning, Shehnaaz, woke up to the soft rays of the sun filtering through her curtains. She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the heaviness that had settled in her chest overnight. Today, she vowed to put on a brave face for her parents.
Downstairs in the kitchen, her mother was bustling about, preparing a hearty breakfast of parathas and chai. Shehnaaz joined her at the table, the aroma of spices and freshly brewed tea comforting her senses.
"Good morning, beta," her mother greeted her warmly, placing a plate of parathas in front of her. "Eat well. It will make you feel better."
Shehnaaz managed a small smile, nodding gratefully as she sipped her chai. Her father sat across from her, lost in his own thoughts, his brow furrowed with concern.
"Eat, Papa," Shehnaaz urged softly, reaching out to touch his hand. "Everything will be okay."
Her father glanced at her, his eyes reflecting a mixture of pride and sadness. "I hope so, beta," he replied quietly, his voice thick with emotion.
Just then, her elder brother Naqsh entered the kitchen with a determined expression. "Sana, I think I should talk to Sidharth," he suggested, his tone earnest yet tinged with uncertainty.
Her father's face darkened at the mention of Sidharth's name. "No, Naqsh," he interjected firmly, his voice brooking no argument. "This matter is closed."
Naqsh bristled at his father's refusal, frustration evident in his voice. "But why, Papa? Sana's happiness—"
"This is not up for discussion," her father cut him off sharply, his gaze steely. "Sidharth has made his decision."
Silence settled over the kitchen, heavy with unspoken tension. Shehnaaz felt a pang of guilt gnawing at her heart. She blamed herself for causing rifts within her family, for the disappointment that weighed heavily on her father's shoulders.
Naqsh glanced at his sister sympathetically, his eyes silently conveying his support. "It's not your fault, Sana," he assured her quietly, his words a gentle reminder of their unbreakable bond.
Shehnaaz nodded wordlessly, her throat tight with unshed tears. She knew her family only wanted what was best for her, even if their methods sometimes clashed.
After breakfast, Shehnaaz retreated to her room, seeking refuge in the solitude of familiar surroundings. She sat by her window, gazing out at the world beyond, lost in her thoughts.
As the hours passed, the weight of uncertainty began to lift from her shoulders. Shehnaaz found herself drawing strength from the unwavering love and support of her family, their presence a beacon of hope in the midst of turmoil.
That evening, as she joined her family for dinner, a sense of calm settled over her. They shared stories and laughter, their bond stronger than ever despite the challenges they had faced.
Naqsh glanced at Shehnaaz across the table, a silent understanding passing between them. "Don't worry, Sana," he whispered, his voice tinged with reassurance. "We'll get through this together."
Shehnaaz nodded gratefully, a faint smile playing on her lips. She knew that with her family by her side, she could weather any storm that came her way.
And as she drifted off to sleep that night, a sense of peace washed over her weary soul. Tomorrow was a new day, filled with endless possibilities and the promise of a brighter future.

At night, Sana was thinking to talk Sidharth. She didn't want to give up so easily when she loved him so deeply.
She had Sidharth's number saved in her phone; Varya had given it to her. But she had never messaged him before. Now, she yearned to meet him and have a conversation. Because she need answer of her few questions.
Glancing at the clock, it was 11:35 PM. She decided to call Sidharth. How could she let him sleep peacefully after he had shattered her peace by rejecting her proposal? Didn't he see her love and affection for him in her eyes? Was he blind?
She had heard from his brother Naqsh what kind of woman he desired, and she was the opposite of that. Despite this, she was willing to change for Sidharth, but she refused to enter any relationship that compromised her self-respect ,it mattered a lot to her.
After a fierce battle between her brain and heart, she dialed Sidharth's number. It rang, but he didn't pick up. She tried four more times with the same result.
Tears welled up in her eyes due to Sidharth's indifference. She decided to message him.
Message: I need to talk to you. Can you please meet me at Royal Restaurant at 2 PM? I'll be waiting for you. Please come.
She sent the message, and within seconds, it was seen by him. But there was no reply. Maybe he didn't have her number saved, or perhaps he didn't want to reply. Maybe she didn't matter to him at all.
She stopped herself from crying further, appalled by his behavior. Placing her phone on the side table, she tried to sleep, hoping he would come.
In the morning, she woke up with hope in her heart. She smiled genuinely, believing that if he showed up, it would prove he cared for her.
Her parents, Naqsh, and Varya were surprised to see her happy face, but they were relieved that she seemed to be moving on, that's what they had all hoped for.
At noon, Sana dressed in a beautiful pistachio-colored dress with minimal makeup. Of course, her sister-in-law cum friend, Varya, had helped her get ready.
Informing Sana's dad, mom, and Naqsh that they were going shopping and wanted some time alone, they had sought permission that morning during breakfast. Sana's dad and Naqsh would head to the office after breakfast.
They didn't want anyone to know they were going to meet Sidharth, fearing it would cause turmoil in the family.
